So here we've got another song by Mike. It's been a while, man. We were missing your tunes. How do you get rid of the hissing sound, do you have a pre-amp for mic? I use my guitar amp for that, and the hissing sound it makes it's horrible.

anyway, answers to tech questions...lately, i record 2 channel audio (1 voice, 1 guitar) directly into laptop via a Presonus Firebox (which does have built-in pre-amp)...which is daisy chained with my video camera via firewire. Then, in my video editing app, I synch up and replace the audio captured from video camera with audio captured via the Firebox. i hope this helps...
