I love what Claudio did with this song, he made it his own. He didn't try and just copy Hendrix, which makes me appreciate this cover. However, I have to say, this is one Hendrix song that shouldn't be played acoustic, Would have loved to see him do an acoustic cover of Hey Joe or Spanish Castle Magic.

Coheed keeps getting stuck opening for bands that have shit music, like Slipknot and Linkin Park. i saw them live with slipknot and left before slipknot even got onstage, and managed to kick the shit out of some emo kid slipknot fan in the pit for welcome home. all slipknot is is a band for kids who don't know shit thinking they're into hardcore metal, and then damn near puke when someone plays a Cannibal Corpse song for them.

I think it's a stretch to call them Nu Metal. They spent years trying not to be associated with that genre. When I think Nu Metal it goes: Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Powerman 5000 and shit like that. I hated Slipknot until Iowa came out. I used to work at the mall and I'd see all these mallrat teens with their Slipknot shirts on and I used to write them off. Sure most of their new stuff doesnt reflect that but if you take each member and put him up against most of the musicians out there they are just as good if not better.
