The normal ending is a lot more powerful, it really solidifies Tim's character as a sort of "guilt-ridden scientist gone mad" instead of just another guy lookin' for his girl only to have her die in the end.
its amazing, not getting the stars makes tim out to be some weird stalker/possible murderer, however, getting all the stars, matching up the firewall, and the intro screen, it all makes sense, its about the atomic bomb
Why the hell would you show this ending, but not allow the epilogue text to be onscreen for even the split second it would take us to be able to read it and actually experience the ending? I mean, I can press pause and read for myself; I don't need you to stand there, but at least give me a fraction of a second to do so.
@Alucadrian That text is on the normal ending anyway, and this secret ending is EXTREMELY well-hidden and relatively unknown and incredibly difficult to get, especially as the game gives no hint that it exists. He's only trying to show off these hidden ending sections, and the text isn't a part of that.
@8NCLI8 I didn't even know there was a secret ending to this game! I should be a bit more collective in video games. I thought I learned my lesson in Kirby 64.
I wish games these days had better rewards for 100% completion.
@8NCLI8 For me, this game's not the only one. Secret endings motivate me to get 100%, especially if there's an end boss that can only be fought by getting 100% completion.

I mean I get the whole A-bomb thing, but still... the normal ending is a lot more engaging and therefore more powerful.

what is the ending if you don't get the 8 stars? I've only seen the 8 star ending videos. Does she still blow up?

Never saw a game which confused me so much.
The atomic bomb plot never came in my mind while playing this!

@untouch59: I honestly think this is one of the best secret ending ever. It totally changed the way I interpret the game.
