The Caps have much more depth than the Pens and are maturing into an overall better hockey team. If I see any young eastern conf team winning championships, it's the Caps. The Caps have much more depth than the Pens and are maturing into an overall better hockey team. If I see any young eastern conf team winning championships, it's the Caps. As far as Detroit, like it or not, they have the best scouting in the NHL, bar none and have been the most consistant team for going on two decades now. As far as Malkin and Crosby being the best, Ovechkin proves time and time again that Malkin is his bitch whenever they meet. Also, I'll take Pavel Datsyuk over Crosby anyday.

Hey Mackie, you seem like a smart guy, you know how hard it is to win a Stanley cup no matter how loaded your team is. Granted, I was devasted when I found out Hossa was leaving my Pens to play in the stinkin D, but players like Hossa who chase the cup by signing one year deals to align with the team who on paper has the best chance of winning it, will be chasing it the rest of his career. Hockey doesnt work that way or Detroit or Montreal would win every year. Lets keep that with baseball.

But we do have our pride! When they say title town they mean all titles (Division, National, Pennants, and much more) and they even go into legends of the city. College and professional, so Pittsburgh "City of Champions" easily casts a shadow over Detroit "Hockey Town".
