  • This band would kick their own asses if they could've have seen what they would eventually become. Kings of Leon have totally lost their balls. This performance is motherfucking legendary though. I really miss Kings of Leon.

  • 4:30 = a musical orgasm

  • Cocaine is a hell of a drug

  • first kings of leon song that i ever heard. was i instantly hooked? i think that is a yes

  • This is awesome.

  • this is made for the real kings of leon fans....not them sex on fire clowns

  • @dshocko88 truer words have never been spoken

  • The best of Kings of Leon

  • ya gotta love this , they had so much fun at the end. guitars plugged into valve amps nothing beats it

  • This Song Is So Underrated...

The Song Of The Decade For Me

  • @TheOrangexxx I totally agree with you. You know what they say, before they were making hits, they were making CLASSICS!!

  • yes I too stumbled on K.O.L. by accident.I was at this show. And I Do remember it very well,I thought they were British rockers actually,I was surprised years later when I found out they were from Tennessee(I'm from Alabama),Now everyone knows Kings of Leon.

  • MAN! I was SO SO SO drunk while watching this I had never heard of them before and since I was SO drunk I had passed out at the stage they were gonna play at when I woke up There they were man shit was good that year

  • so awesome

  • this was my first favorited clip on youtube, like 3 years ago. still probably my favorite thing on this site.

  • yeh this is fucken awesome performance !! this song is the guitaris...t i forget his names best song hes pretty underrated player love the guitar during the chorus!!brilliant

  • i hear ya! i would sell someone elses soul to the devil, to have been at this performance...suck it people of 2004 bonnaroo (Just kidding)

  • the things i wud do to see this song live!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish Jared still went nuts like this, but yay for not being on coke anymore

  • Word.

    :(

  • what's wrong with being on coke?

  • @CrazyNess488 he siad in a interview that he only went nuts on stage because he has allways playing wrong. so he tried to cover it up. now day\s hid riffs are too complex so he has to stay concintraited

  • oh my god, sends shivers down my spine every time I see this!!!!

  • I hope they give it some like this 16th Dec M.E.N. !!!!

ima in stands but gonna be going for it!...luckily, ima not too high up!!

  • i read somewhere that dylan saw this performance and told them back stage that it was one of the best live performances of any he's seen in his lifetime... that is saying something! and i have to agree... i've watched this 50 times at least on my bonaroo DVD... the last minute or so IS rock n roll...

  • I am 49, and these guys are my favourite band of the last 5 years. Seen em 5 times with the 6th to come and our cheesy pub band currently play crawl, mollys, bucket, 4 kicks, novocaine, rodeo, black thumbnail, on call, and are rehearsing sex on fire. fucking truly brilliant. I would love them to hear our versions. check out our stereophonics cover on you tube. we will post a clip of a kings song soon. Followills, you are awesome!

  • where did ya get that bonnaroo dvd???

  • mmm sweaty rocker boys

  • this video makes me so grateful for youtube.. this has to be the best video on here..

i saw them at bonnaroo last year but i would have given anything to experience this performance

  • how old is that lead guitarist, i heard he was 15 when this was done? if that so he is years ahead of his time, to add a voice to the chorus like that without distracting from it is unbelievable.

  • not the lead guitarist, but the bassist (jared followill, the youngest brother) was born in 1986 so if this was in 2003 he would have been 17

  • sorry just noticed it's in 2004, so he was 18.

  • the lead guitarist was 19 at the time, the bassist was still 17.

  • the lead guitarist was 19 at the time, the bassist was still 17 (16 and 18 when they recorded the album version)

  • well its still a fuking great song played with feeling

  • fuckin right dope song

  • Pure unadulterated ecletic blues riffs, hillbilly vocals, and skinny jeans! I fail to see how anyone could dislike the kings. December 10th, Birmingham, England, can't wait for the spectacle that is the Kings of Leon!

  • This has to be their best performance.

I saw them earlier this month... I was in the first row right in front of Jared... and they performed this song =)

  • If anyone here can play this solo, I'd love some help with the second half. A cheeky little slow motion video would make my day. Go on...

  • If you play guitar, i don't see why you don't look at the tabs/notes? I would love to help you out, however i'm deep into collegework (exams are approaching. Just look at the tabs, and listen to the song a few times, also, press pause whenever you're learning a new part. That's how i learned most of the songs i wanted to play ( including solo's ). Hope that helped u a little bit.

  • fuckin genius. wot sort of music is this? just unique, must be close to come up with something kike this

  • indeed ..lol

  • Yeah probably loaded!!! lol

  • KOL are definately up there with the best bands of the modern era... shame most of the kids listen to that rnb rubbish. Lookin forward to the kings live, jan 8th Melbourne

  • Here, here

  • This song is difficult to sing and play, even though it sounds so simple. My mission is to learn that solo if it kills me. What a fucking awesome song.

  • i fuckin second that motion!!!

Sounds so simple but mann its hard as fuck

  • its that groove, never heard anything like this before. pure fuking genius, they put so much into it and make it look easy. best "rock" band for decades.

  • decades? the bassist is my age....10 years ago we we're 11 years old haha

  • best song ever written

  • Long live the KINGS !!! Ben Pienaar

  • i dont know i reckon mcfearless is thier best tune- but the ending to this song when matt goes nuts on the guitar.......eurphoric

  • these guys are completely underrated if you ask me. They are just so great sounding unfortunatly they were bron into a generation filled with bubblegum pop and and faggot as rappers Long live the kings

  • The best band to come out of the Washington family

  • I have seen the KOL in the FIB... for me, the best band in the last 30 years, behind THE DOORS

  • the best part is caleb punching that mic stand like it did somethin at the end, and then walks offstage like a god (shakes head) best band in the last 20 years

  • the best version of their best song, as it escalates

it makes you want to throw a chair across the room.without even knowing what he's saying. that kid watching at 03:12 makes it even more epic .

  • you can't put it any better haha thats great really is man

  • spot on. trani is there best to date

  • you are so fuckin right... i have seen them twice... and they rock this songs cock off

  • there a bunch of good lookin men.

  • they're*

  • there's one thing that jumps out and grabs u by the ahem, face , when u hear or watch the Kings, and that's just pure raw music, and i fucking love that. They don't give a shit about what others think and just let it all out in the end of this tune. I still find that tune extremely weird, but i love them for playing it the way they do, they win me over every time :)

  • This vid totally rocks! The kings rule!

  • This definitely their best video on youtube.

  • this is the best video on youtube period

    .

  • haha good call

  • One of my favourite vids on youtube.

  • I can't wait for their next album and they just came out with a new one. I hope they stay together for a long time.

  • one of the only bands where I like all of their songs

  • i hear ya

  • Someone knows why did all the KOL videos disapered from youtube?! Copyrights?!? One month ago we had many...

  • yeh! i covered spiral staircase on my guitar and posted it up here and i got an email off RCA Records saying it was removed due to copyright infringement! what balls, im not trying to say i wrote it, i just enjoy playing it... u know?

  • Pack of smokes, little bump of cocaine! Sounds good to me!

  • (a young Bob Dylan)

  • Yep thats what i thought...

  • Matt looks like Bob Dylan here.

  • Ive seen them live 3 times, this song never gets old

  • Kings of Leon, awesome! But why are those guys so fricking skinny, and why do they wear their pants really high? :P

  • exceptional performance!

  • he'z brilliant, listen to that voice revvin with raw energy at 3[48.

  • is there anyway of downloading this version?

  • esta cancion me cambio la vida saludos 8

  • ha ha! genius!...i hear u!.. ok its trani but u know what im saying!

  • this is surreal, this never happened

  • good band, amazin, amazing song and every thing. Brilliant... caleb is abit weird though...

  • sometimes I even wonder if he is singing lyrics or just screaming something. It's a bit like Kurt Cobain.

  • Uggh I love this song. Live it is so amazing.

  • Fantastic.... Big KOL fan in the USA here....

  • those rainy days they aint so bad when youre the king

  • I see you got your hands on because of the times also. I like the FANS reference.

  • the king they want to see

  • oh. my. god.

  • Great. One of the few bands who have, and still do put their hearts into their music, and don't choose to follow the herd. I have alot of respect and love for these extremely talented guys. I like this video especially, because of the way they express themselves towards the end...'this being one of the many reasons why i say all of the above x

  • love it. so pure and raw, just love it

  • Pack of smokes

    A little bump of cocaine

Help you feel not so strange

  • Jeeeesus, shiver goes down my spine when he starts screaming at the end.

    Favourite band ever.

  • fuck, awesome

  • Hah the beggining is so funny, how matt shuts the door on the camera man!

    Great song, love the kings!

  • "On the last night of the Dylan tour," Caleb says, "Dylan came into our dressing room and he says [here Caleb affects Dylan's husky rasp:] 'What's that last song you guys played?' And I said, 'Uh, it's called 'Trani' [a little ditty about transvestite hookers from the first album]. And Dylan goes, 'That's a hell of a song.' "I think that was pretty much the biggest thrill of my entire life."

  • kings of leon best band in the world hands down what a tune

  • holy fuck thats awsome.

  • i have to say the bassist player is the coolest guy in the world hehe

  • Long live The Kings!

  • the ruled the earth at hedgpeth

  • KINGS OF TURN-ON!!!

  • The things I'd do to Caleb are illegal in many countries...

  • ME TOO!!!

  • omg... <3

  • on the album version, if you realy listen you can hear on the end of the song: the tribe is over.

  • Its "the tribe has spoken" not the tribe is over

  • foda pra kralho!

  • This gives me a HUGE boner.
