That whole incident was a major investigation, plus all those cars were involved in the pursuit initially. It makes sense because all those cars were involved and once they get there, they will be re-assigned to handle traffic, crime scene protection, etc., not to mention keep the rubber-neckers away. If you are seeing this for the 1st time,here's the story. The driver, who was dead at the scene, was fleeing from a shooting with the law in pursuit. He had just murdered his wife and her sister in front of his own children in the street of a quiet St Louis suburb. The couple was separated and in the process of divorce. Obviously, he flipped out. His vehicle flew over a 4 lane road about 5 minutes after I had passed beneath the very same spot.
seeing this w/o knowing all that, i didn't feel too sorry for him, but now i really don't. his kids are probably traumatised and now they have no parents...well done.
The driver was not dead on the scene initially. Ladue Fire department paramedics treated and transported him. He was pronounced dead at St. Johns Hospital.

Frankly, I know you are incorrect. You can go on FBI's website and it will clearly show you that the only crimes involving inter-family relationships that is increasing are kidnapping. I would only suggest that you research these allegations beyond just watching news stories or cable talk shows as they live by one and only one equation: More of anything = more money for the network.

It is true that kidnappings are up and although I belive inter-family killing is growing, murder in whole is down. in the 80's an average of 20,000 murders a year, 90's 20,000 murders a year, but in 2000's murder is down to an average of only 16,000 per year

the anchors are very calm about the whole thing. In Los Angeles (close to where I live) they act as if they have never seen a police chase before; treating it as if it were a down-to-the-wire finish at the Indy 500. People are insane in LA

If you are seeing this for the 1st time,here's the story. The driver, who was dead at the scene, was fleeing from a shooting with the law in pursuit. He had just murdered his wife and her sister in front of his own children in the street of a quiet St Louis suburb. The couple was separated and in the process of divorce. Obviously, he flipped out. His vehicle flew over a 4 lane road about 5 minutes after I had passed beneath the very same spot.

The driver was not dead on the scene initially. Ladue Fire department paramedics treated and transported him. He was pronounced dead at St. Johns Hospital.
