I think you're absolutley right about htis one! But I also think Elvis did this take from the guts. But also realized (in his kind of thinking at that time) that it wasn't for that time to put it like this on record. It's almost a shame ( but understandable) that they didn't.. But, hey, we still got it! :)

This is from 1970

Imo Presley's best take on that song. The studio version from '64 sounded very hyper, the '69 versions are cool, but didn't focus on the song enough, and the less written about the fragments from the late 70s, the better. This one has it all. Great, great version !!
