Another way to tell if you are connection host is if you throw a grenade and it takes a second to get out of your hand ur not connection host. Good Video and Good Song 4/5

To tell if your connection host in matchmaking you have to just stand on top of a fusion coil and just punch it without jumping if it sends you super high and thats how you tell but theres also a differnt way to powerdrain jump but its hard to do if you dont know how

You look straight down and look up while yor doing it its kinda hard to explain just look up how to powerdrain jump without host :)

because unless you need to be connection host to power drain jump, and if your not it's just extremly hard. Plus the spawn time on the bruteshot and powerdrain are 60 secs so the odds of getting both without them finding you are very slim
