The recording quality also lacks depth - for Rock in Rio that's strange -alot of money goes into sound production. The band went into overdrive gig-wise after this song did well -he probably damaged his vocal chords back then. Did he do vocal warm-ups before every concert - drink nothing but hot water and lemon? Would have looked better if the backing singers had been live!

I was replying to a comment that said Dexter's voice was lower than what the studio recording is. I was in no way knocking it, but I know his voice can't hit that high anymore. You still with me? I know his voice is lower now due to age and voices constantly change throughout a persons life.

What I am saying is that I am glad he is using the lower register and tuning lower so he doesn't struggle to hit (and miss) the notes with his voice and cause a lower performance....In other words I am in no way knocking their performance. They are still REALLY good live.

Many many band finish to tune down a half step like Bon Jovi and The Offspring. Metallica do it aswell they even play Seek and Destroy a whole step down.

It's a normal thing.. When you sing something with the Highess (or nearly) pitch you can.. You can do it as well as before 10-15-20 or more year later.. And it's less hard for the voice.. Sing ONE song in studio is a bit easier for the voice than a whole gig..! :)
