for those of you who are pilots - note that the flaps are FULLY extended. basically, this capt. flared enough for a soft touch, full control all the way down. i bet if either wing was cocked it would have cartwheeled when it hit the water and then...well lets not worry about it, both pilots were awesome

How many people here do not realize that there are TWO people in the cockpit. No one is giving credit to the co pilot. If that pilot was alone I doubt that this would have went down the same way. He must feel like Buzz Aldrin did..

This pilot had over 30 years of experience and even was in the US airforce. He new how to handle the situation. or do you think every soldier starts shitting his pants and prays to god when someone shoots at them? Ok i do agree with you that that pilot could haved done that by himself w/out the help of god! His experince proves it like with 20,000 hours. But that he when to the airforce, not everyone get all from the airforce. there are people out there that are more prepared than airforce pilots. i am sure everyone gets a spook at first when this happens.
