America should have had 2 Triple Crown winners during the first decade of the millennium. The first one should have been Smarty Jones in 2004. The second one should have obviously been Big Brown in 2008. What's so ironic about Big Brown not really even making an effort in the 08' Belmont Stakes is that the Belmont was by far the easiest field of the three, competition wise, that Big Brown faced, IMO.

What a TERRIBLE announcer. He sounds like he needs to be announcing car races...not horse races. Annoying and obnoxiously loud. Chic Anderson was much better. You'd think this was a close call on a race car track. It wasn't. He sounds crude & classless.

@cmf4321 I've been in horse racing for 27 years now and watched thousands and thousands of races.....this was one the best calls ever and if you know anything about racing at all you'll know that Brownie was one of the best 3 year olds ever! Go and see him in Lexington Ky at Three Chimneys Farm.

Desormoux never even asked Big Brown to run. He had a stranglehold on him the entire race yet still won in 1:54 and change. I also have to say the race call was pretty good as well.
