The men and women should not be singing looking at each other but only god.To me it would only be devine singing if all face the temple mulasthanam and not at each other.I have spotted two boys about 10 years old sing like professionals.Epic events of this nature shoudl reflect the real india.no wonder it si one of the most populus nation with more poor than in china which import more cars than any nation in 2010.

We are missing KUNNAKKUDI VAIDHIYANATHAN.we need this type of get to geather atleast every month, maximum artists shall attend to improve the carnatic music......

There seems to be a big void without the great ''KUNNAKUDI VAIDHYANATHAN"" in the middle like a conductor..With all these years having seen him do that from early time back in 70still 2008 ...truely miss the great maestro....

@TheAswith Very correct. Many of the singers are off singing on their own tune and their own pitch now - so some of them are on one sangati while others are on another. People used to focus on kunnukudi (who, despite his flamboyant antics, actually kept very good control of the concert).

Since I heard this video & carnatic music, I think it is one of the most beautiful and difficult music I have ever heard. Thank you for preserving it for the rest of the world & hindu community too.
