this is the cinematic for the Ascalonian Catacombs, not Charr Land. You shouldn't copy wrong titles from other uploaders and justify that they are correct. GWofficial uploaded it with Ascalonian Catacombs, so I think that's right eh ;). But still an awesome video.

@troj444 If you played the original Guild Wars then you would know that there existed a type of sword known as the Fiery Dragon Sword which could be obtained by players. The King's sword is a unique variant of the FDS that could not be obtained by players. The sword that Charr is holding is probably just an ordinary FDS. Just trying to help avoid confusion :)

Norn are fiercely independent, bowing to no king and acknowledging no authority; Dwarves are the opposite of that. Sylvari have barely begun their existence and know nothing of the outside world, while the Night Elves are practically one of the oldest and wisest races in WoW. And as for the professions, your comment is fail because practically every Western RPG has those archetypes.

After viewing some clips in prep for GW2 I thought it'be best to play the game for myself!

Got the trilogy recently and man...it's such a great feeling re-watching these clips now and having that familiar feeling.

@WoWrapesGW2 Even Guild Wars 1 is better than WoW. They're messing up WoW BIG TIME. They lost a hell lot of players with the release of cataclysm. And also, Guild Wars isn't a WoW clone. And if anything, WoW is a Warhammer clone. And ofcourse some classes and races will be similar, there are only so many possible fighting styles, and so much imagination in the world. If you think you can come up with something not at all slightly cloned from ANY game, put it on youtube. I'd like to see you try.

@flaminghammy Magdaer had a twin called Sohothin, which was in the possession of Rurik, the King's son, during GW1: Prophesies. Rurik was killed and Sohothin was lost. Somehow Rytlock (the charr in the video) uncovered it, but I don't know how. I don't think it's ever been disclosed.

Now, I've done a quick look around (excluding Machinima) and have found some sources that you could check youself, as YouTube doesn't allow us to send htmls.

I had a quick look at Machinima now, they're referring to is as Charr-Land, we're using Charr Land. So it is still different from theirs as well, as I said, we use what's given to us. There's no need to copy other titles.

Where did you read your title? The official site also doesn't refer to it as such (from what I've seen).

@REDACESTARnet I'm not sure how press stuff works as far as titles go. I suppose it isn't incorrect. Charr Lands could be the lore-centric title of the cinematic because he is telling the backstory of Ascalon's territory wars. But Dragonshadow is correct; this is also the intro to the Catacombs dungeon (I was there this past weekend and played it).

I have no doubt that this is the intro to the Catacombs dungeon, as you said. :) We get the video named as such, sometimes we fix the name up a bit (however we have it set-up i.e. replacing colons... etc.) and onto this thing called the interwebs it goes!
