This is fabulous! I love the video and the different artists' collaborating. Is Martha the bigger lady? She sounds wonderful. And looks pretty. Huh, are they meant to keep her outthe video just cos she's ' big'? How pathetic. This is music, not an image.
Wow!!! Just thinking about it here that it's been just about 17 years now exactly that Producer-David Cole went Home, and House/Dance Music really suffered, but yet endured till today in 2012.

These were the days when music was "REAL" having fun and not talking about money etc....This is MUSIC....Music you feel with your heart which then allows the rhythm to move down to your feet...Bring back the late 80's and 90's with the florescent clothing Please!!
I danced my feet off off to this song back in the early 90s..I haveit on vinyl somewhere.Collectors item maybe. And such a tragedy that the band leader passed on way before C&C were truely appreciated and recognised beyond the underground dance movement. THey were amazing and way ahead of their time.
I am a fan of real music, and this is one of the last great bands. I like music from all generations from the 50's to the 80's, especially the 80's and I think this band was popular in the early 90's. The first few years of the 90's was pretty cool when it comes to music. I don't know when the music turned crappy but I suspect that it was sometime in the late 90's and from 2000 on. They just don't make good dance songs anymore and thats a shame.
This is one of those forgotten hits of the 90's. I only found it online cause I had a dream about it last night. I think it played on the tv after I fell asleep watching it. But eitherway, GREAT SONG!
@polyprinz --oh yeah !! I just checked it and dats true---she nails it====i so love this groove ---wow --music is the greatest thing .it was given by God to man --a blessing---all praise to the father !
ALL TIME CLASSIC!!!! I feel like I'm 9 years old again, grooving in the Perth (Australia) heat, heading to the beach with my brothers with the windows down, blasting this gem! :) The weird thing is that this was COMMERCIALLY successful hip hop back then.. what on Earth happened to popular hip-hop? It went from HipHop emerging on the radio, to HipPop in the late 90s & early 00s, to HipShop (for teenage dollars) in the late 00s. Hope it goes full circle & the masses get a taste of quality hiphop:)
@akguzman Listen to the live performances of these songs and you'll understand why Martha was brought in. Zelma never could've banged out the vocals the way they needed them for the studio recordings of this song, and "Gonna Make You Sweat". Martha can hit the notes live and be spot-on without batting an eye, and of course is flawless in the studio. Zelma struggles to sound good without a lot of 'cleaning up' in the studio - she was always more for show than go.
One of C&C Music Factorys' finest work!! Not using all of The Dazz Bands groove but just enough to make you groove!! What can I say about the great Martha Wash!! Though the should 've given her props on the previous work she's done for them, but hey better late than never!!!
Excellent C + C Music Factory revolutionized the funky dance floor scene was a time not ever forget that sound good performing these phenomena Dj Dj Clivilles & Cole's best to pay my respects
