A knife in the back was too primitive for them to bother to defend against initially. And it only worked once; the Borg immediately adapted.
As for the combat on the Borg Planet -- the skull Borg are completely confused, becausewhat appears to be part of the collective (the Archeopendra) is cannibalizing the rest of the collective. That's "crazy-making" behavior in Borg-land. Their systems are turning off and on -- shifting phases and so forth, making them vulnerable.
oh and there is another glitch when the borg are detecting the enterprises worp sigy as a borg worp sigy and it cuts to the crew of the dallis it skips the rest of the vid and says that i watched it to the end
This is 17 years after the return of Voyager and most of the old crew from the TNG years has moved on. Barclay stuck around...and he knows the Enterprise pretty well after all these years. Don't sell him short; even when he was green he still had his flashes of brilliance.
The other major glitch that nobody seems to have noticed is when the young Klingon is on the Borg Planet, he gets out of the shuttle barehanded but a couple of seconds later has a batleth. Note that this glitch is replicated in innumerable episodes of the TV show Highlander.
slight glitches here and there, like the intrepid class MSD behind the captain's seat on the Enterprise, but AMAZING work considering the circumstances
Yeah, I felt pretty dumb when I noticed the intrepid class -- after I filmed all those scenes. Luckily it's covered up for most of the time with a "red alert" sign. Sigh.
6:03 - He stabbed him in the jimmy!!! How is that honorable? ;)

Look on the LCARS at 6:32 its from the Voyager although they're on the Enterprise D.

The fat borg was stolen from Alien IV. Anyway. The movies are crap.

why did the big borg fall on the klingon? did the borg want to kiss the klingon just because hes dead?
hl2citizen5 4 years ago
No ship that uses phasers would fire six shots at once. Phasers are more powerful when you focus your energy on one shot.
Bloodthroe 4 years ago
Not these phasers. They've improved the technology after 17 years.
kephren1 4 years ago
Okay, I guess. I don't see how that is improved technology over being able to focus all your energy into a single weak point on an enemy's shield.
Bloodthroe 4 years ago
It's better because it looks cooler.
kephren1 4 years ago
That makes sense.

is the helmsman Lt Munro?
iancrawford86 4 years ago
So there you go. All that would be needed is a knife made of composites rather than metals.

Hmmm.... I'm trying to think of times in the canon where the Borg were attacked with blades. Are there any?
kephren1 4 years ago
by Worf in First Contact
kanenkitten 3 years ago
The Borg really need to adapt to being sliced with blades... Maybe with some Borg thinking they can improvise a bronze shield? ;-)
