like, if I don't have any real career skills besides being a native English speaker, and, let's say I manage to pass the JLPT 2, do you think there will be any long term employment opportunities at any companies in Tokyo in the future?
Good feedback. I have one relatively straightforward question?
If I am taking a cab somewhere, and I need to give directions; what are some of the terms I should know. For example: Could you turn left/right at the next corner? or stop across the street, or stop here, this is good. Along with any other taxi/travel knowledge that would help, as you have years of experience traveling in and around Japan.
He says あまり not おまり. But あまり and あんまり seem to be the same thing. I'm only familiar with あまり, but I looked up あんまり, and their definitions are basically the same.
Awesome this lesson is great for me since i'm a beginner as well. Thanks for this video man. Oh and I see DC's joke of the american chamber of commerce is slowly expanding haha nice.
that is a really good compliment she gave you! Youtube is filled with very cute animals and pets with millions of views, very few people can compete!
Also I've been thinking about this for a while and you must really, really love teaching because the lessons you are giving people for free usually are the same quality people pay a pretty penny for. I wonder if viewers know how valuable these lessons are?
I realized that I hadn't spoken to a native Japanese person until about two months ago when I was a volunteer at a language teachers convention. I've been doing self-study for about 2 years, on and off (許してください!), and I was blown away by the fact that I could understand and answer what the Japanese professor was asking of me.
Often times I find myself utilizing the romanized alphabet to pronounce the romaji versions of Japanese; is there a good method to learn to speak or use the palette of Japanese so you don't appear to have a strong accent? Perhaps some special enunciation techniques?

Hmm... good question. Must think.
Gimmeaflakeman 2 years ago
Just practice the pronuciation(if I spelt that right) and read the kana charts.
The pronunciation you'll use for all Japanese words are:
A(ah)
I(e)
U(ew)
E(a)
O(oh)
I hope this helps.
