Can your rice cooker cook garbanzo beans, pinto beans, kidneys etc? vs using a pressure cooker? I have a small living space and do alot of canning but didn't want to buy another pressure cooker if I didn't have to - we also eat alot of rice so I thought if the rice cooker would work for beans I'd go that way..appreciate your feedback :) Tx
thank you for the video, very informative. i am looking into getting a rice cooker but i want it to be able to steam cook veggies and be able to make chili/stews. this video along with other research will def help me find what's right 4 me.
im so glad i bought a rice cookers it revolutionary for me i dont have to take 1 hr to cook a meal anymore as im in university i just leave it and forget it........wish i had thought of buying one before
I put the salt in afterward because it helps the beans cook faster. When you add salt to the water of beans, it can take significantly longer to cook them...not sure the chemistry of it all, but it's true.

It's important to note that you only want to cook other things that are similar in size to rice, such as lentils, mung beans, moong beans, etc.
