Well what u could have done differently in 3.0 ofc is instead of casting another shadowbolt with 1 sec duration left at UA, startcasting UA>Immolate>Siphon life and by then haunt would be off cooldown. now start spamming ur fillar.

I still prefer drain life over drain soul, the life bonus is nice when you got a healer focused on the tank, and your taking some small damages over time, so the drain life enhances the duration of yourself. Though drain soul is a hell of a lot better in damage... I guess it more varies from situation to situation for me.

i looked at thottbot and here i found out something really scary!!!

Shadow Bolt

690 - 770 dps per cast 3,0 sec casttime 17% base mana - mana per sec using 5,6% dps per sec 243

Incinerate

582 - 676 dps per cast 2,5 sec casttime 14% base mana - mana per sec using 5,6% dps per sec 251

Incinerate with Immolate

627 - 845 dps per cast 2,5 sec casttime 14% base mana - mana per sec using 5,6% dps per sec 294

souldfire gives 248 per sec thats more than SB
