Lamborghini Gallardo with Straight Pipes

My dad got the lamborghini gallardo spyder from lamborghini of Dallas about a year ago for $325,000 but he doesn't like it because he thinks it's like sitting in a bathtub so he just got another mercades but thats not the point. This is the point...He said I can have the lamborghini for my first car and I'm already 14! Soo exited!!!! So if you guys could give me any tips? Thanks

When your lettting that much back pressure off the engine by straight piping, you tend to backfire a lot more, as with a straight pipe you usually want to re-time the cams so the valves aren't improperly closing causing a backfire.

It's backfire at the end because the engine creates a big combustion then when he lets off the gas it blows out and sometimes if it's big enough it will blow fire out the back

@talktomebitch905 straight pips is where an exhaust system with no muffler or/& catalytic converter is fitted so there is nothing slowing the flow though the exhaust so they are straight/clear though from engine to exhaust end this will result in it being louder because of no muffler & should also result in more power from the engine because exhaust gases can now flow though the exhaust easier The boom is a backfire and is unburned fuel in the exhaust exploding it normal in high performance cars

Yeah 'cause of Carb or noise problems. But none of the places where I get my inspection does any carb testing, and I'm sure most stations that doesn't deal with super car's going to know the difference, it's pretty loud stock isn't it?

Never got to see a Gallardo first hand, so I can't say much. But my car's had a high flow catalytic converter and straight pipe at one point, and I've passed inspection fine.

a normal exhaust on a modern car has catalytic converters, mufflers and sometimes resonators, whereas a straight pipe is... well self explanatory i guess just a straight pipe from the downpipe to the back of the car.

I think we are talking about two different things. The straight pipes i'm referring to are standard exhaust systems with no catback meaning they are catless exhaust systems. I know that their are exhaust with no mufflers.
