@katherine3486 : This is a duet. Playing either part is fairly simple. Playing both parts at the same time is the difficult part. With that said, why would anyone need to do a fake video of one part of a duet?
@katherine3486 Hee hee. I know that you have retracted the comment already...but...you should know better than to distrust a man from Huddersfield playing G2! It is quite difficult in parts. The v v v difficult part is mixing it between San Francisco and Yorks.
Beautifully played! I have had the sheet music for years and have never mastered it. I would not be able to concentrate like that if I had a duck sitting in my guitar case!!!
Did you say you were taught by Rick Flores....he is a teacher at DVC. I studied with him since 2004. He is such a Virtuoso, and you are on your way....I am inspired by you..
I'll never learn to play the guitar being so entranced, and mezmorized by you. I can't help, but, wonder what is going on in your mind when you are in the groove. Your eyes seem to haze over, and you appear to be in a deep hypnotic state. God your beautiful Julie.....
Nic playing Paul, I learned this when the movie first came out and found the lead easy but the chords a chore to work out. I think it took me about 2 weeks to figure out as I don't read music. So cheers to you and a nice job too Julie.
Nice work Julie. Love this this song. Never seen the movie but, with this piece it sounds like a sad movie. Not to that your renditions was sad but, I find it very tranquil and relaxing. Good job once again Julie. What kind of guitar are you using
Hello, Bro! (Do you have a name? O secreto? lol) Thanks, it's a nice piece. My guitar is José Ramirez 2CWE. I see you also play a cutaway. What guitar is it? It sounds good.
Hi Julie. Well yes, I do have a name. I was dubbed Mel years back. I currently have three guitars. One I bought in the Philippines which I really like but afraid to use it and I action on it is pure torture. It's a Ferengeli guitar. My major guitar I use (which is the one in my videos) is a Takanime EC124C I think. I'm workin on that "My Lord Willoughby's Welcome Home". It will be my next video. Anyway, thanks for the comments Julie.
Man Oh Man, I wish I was playing second guitar, just to listen to you...The movie was sad, and I never would want to see a movie that violent again.. The music you and Paul play, are gorgeous tho...sad, but that's the way it was meant....P
As I write this, I am sitting in the library of my university, taking a break from writing a paper. I had heard several renditions of AA by Paul and I have to say they are all amazing. But this is truly breathtaking; I am literally in tears. SImply Amazing.
Hi, ma'm, it is quite frustrating that a lot of people on youtube play this music but they do not have a step-by-step instruction for us who could only dream of ever playing this song. It would really be great if you could do that for the hundreds of thousands of your fans. You know tell us which finger should go on what fret and which string to play? Thank you sir. We LOVE your playing.
If you don't mind me asking. How much do you attribute to the beauty of the song to your guitar? I know that when I went from a country style guitar to a "estudio" classical guitar it made a world of difference. I can't even imagine a guitars quality any better, but I am sure that a concert class guitar really adds to the quality in the sound. I hope I haven't taken up too much of your time answering all my questions, but I am bedazzled. I thought Jimi Hendrix was the last... Thanks
This is a beautiful piece! I would love to learn it one day. I am just beginning the Classic guitar myself. You play very well and I can see the real dedication you're putting towards this avenue of musical instruction. Congratulations! You've moved another audience member :-D
