  • Best Quality/Price ratio of guitar history.

  • Has anyone matched alnico ii pro neck with little '59?

  • It reminds me the solo from a song o Bon Jovi called Always !

  • @Skylandermeletis

    do You mean that ? -> /watch?v=wdSQl11ZhC4

  • Comment removed

  • @ericmelvin10 No , I mean THIS video! I didn't know you have already done a cover of the "Always" solo. I think THIS video is quite inspired from the "Alwayys" solo !

  • @Skylandermeletis

This video is inspired by Richie Sambora... In this video I tried to play like if I was him so It's possible to sound to always, necer say goodbye and lots of songs from Bon Jovi ;)

Sambora is one of my biggest influences, as Andy Timmons, Steve Vai, Richie Kotzen, Max Varini, Ludovico Vagnone...

Their styles are part of mine.

  • Nice playing man, good post.

    *Check my Tele demo.

  • hey man nice playing ! I have a same tele. by the way :)

  • Why does it have so many screws in the pickguard?

  • @Hoopermazing

    ask fender XD

  • @ericmelvin10 Perhaps I'll Google for the info. The pickguard on my fake Blackguard Tele has only 5 screws... like the old bakelite ones.

  • very very nice playing...

  • @jusbe7

    thank you :)

  • How much and where did you get it from. She's a beaut.

  • @thatsillylion

I bought it in a local store at Barcelona, SPAIN. Mine was 400€ or so...

  • @ericmelvin10 oooooo i got the same one i think its even made in the same place for $300 :P

  • This was my first guitar, now i've moved on to a vintage 52 reissue Tele..

  • @tommythunder99 I owned a 52 tele too, really nice and overpriced guitar :)

  • when it says lite ash, then do mean a american deluxe ash?

  • @ILoveTelecasters Lite ash is lightweight ash telecaster, birdseye mapple made in KOREA, special edition.

    Please read the description.

  • I can listen to this song for hours at a time!! Amazing!

  • i got the same guitar and same effects only than from a VOX amp

  • Ive got a korean tele in sunburst. Unbelievable guitar. Love the neck. Then I play it on a roland cube 80 x. Great amp.

  • Hey, great playing.

    Check my Tele demo.

  • Wow; no affects!

  • @Gibboplucker

sorry, I used the TC Electronic G-Force to add some delay and some reverb, that's all. No compression, no eq... nothing but reverb and delay.

  • Great sound; what effects/amp do you have?

  • @Gibboplucker please, read the video description.

    Thank you.

  • Nice playing.

  • @nobodyspech thank you :)

  • Great sound. Nice to hear someone playing instead of just tryin to rip as fast as they can.

  • @fleafarteasy

Thank you, I suck playing shred XD hahahah ;)

  • brilliant

  • what song is this? great playing, btw. voted 5 stars

  • This is not a song. This is a backing track, no idea about the composer or the name...

  • Fantastic playing, really inspiring! Think I'm gunna have to pick up a pair of those seymour duncan pups for my tele :)

  • @nickatron

    Thank you.

  • I've got a black Fender Lite Ash Tele. Just put Seymour Duncan Hot rail pickups in it too. It's AMAZING! And looks gorgous! :)

    I recommend to anyone! :D

  • @sghmonkeyboy

I've a hot rails in another guitar, but for the tele, I prefer a classic sound.

  • i love you vid ; )

i'm kinda picking between fender lite ash telecaster and epiphone explorer... i really don't know what should i buy but i think i'll buy fender because i really like it... xD

  • wow, awesome playong bro, lucky to have that gear :D

    God bless

  • sounds similar to the yellow ledbetter solo. nice tone. wish i could find one of those teles

  • if you are anywhere close to indianapolis i know a store with one still on the shelf. black paint.

  • Great tone hot sound i like it....

  • is it true that they don't make lite ash teles any more?

  • I think they were a "special edition"

  • I have one. Now I love it more with the new perspective, with the new rain of possibilities. Thanks, Tele-Brother... :0) Take care, God bless... H.

  • ;) All is in your fingers!!!

  • great sound! especially with the bridge pickup, its hard to stop it being too bright and tinny but you seem to have a great tone in your fingers!

  • :) thank you so much :)

  • really nice playing, I like it :)

  • thank you :)

  • where did you get that guitar m8

  • m8?¿

  • WOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

    What a tone!

  • thank you :)

  • OMG

    very fat sound!!

    just like les paul.

  • Telecasters remind me of Les Pauls. Even though the tele came out first.

  • Just found out that fender discontinued the lite ash series. I feel a lot prouder of my black lite ash tele since i heard the news. The neck is great and the guitars. Cool videos man. Like them a lot.

  • ;)

    Thank you for watching!!!

  • is that gonna make the resale value of mine any better in the future?

  • pickups sound soo nice and punchy. getting this guitar soon! :)

  • Thanks for watching!

  • That was some hot sound coming from that telecaster(question) Is it comfortable on the shoulder?, i have played an old shecter which looks like the telecaster but it was very heavy and i have neck pains after that session.

  • The telecaster is a little big heavy guitar, and not as confortable as the stratocaster... Sometimes, when I grab it strongly, I hurt my ribs a little because no-reliefs....

  • Nice video dude :D

  • Thanx! Nice hair! XD

  • Hey man!

Nice playing! What pick up's are you using?

  • Seymour duncan alnico pro 2

  • Oh im sorry:)

I did not see that it was written in the text:P

  • hi man, in oyu opinion, what's "better", this korean guitar or a mexi tele?....thanks!!!

  • this tele, of course.

  • well u have to listen to compare but most of Fender's production is now in Mexico so I guess they trust on them...Mexicans tele sound awesome, I own a Telecaster Custom...pretty solid guitar

  • @romoo the korean one for sure, because of

    (1) the wonderful SD pickups

    (2) the ash body

    (3) the old style bridge

  • @romoo Korean any day of the week.

  • Sweet sounds and amazing playing, it sounds like an intro to a 90's soap drama lol

  • XD

Thank you (I supose... ) XD

  • song please??

  • it's an improvisation over a backing track from Total Guitar (spanish version).

  • i have the humbucker versions of thes pups in my Warmoth LP, Gotta love SD Alnico II pros =D

  • Porn music ftw! ^^

    That's what it sounds like.

    Real nice sounding Pups!

  • XDDDDDDDD

  • sweet playing!

    nice guitar, though..

  • thanks..

  • im thinking of buying one of these, but what is the difference between the fender tele pickups and the seymour duncan ones?

  • yes dude seymour duncan i think they are way better dude my friend has this guitar but its white its amazing duncans are pickups like slashes thats what my friend says hes a big slash fan

  • why does it matter what slash uses? Im sure he could play pretty good on a walmart guitar

  • you dont get what im saying im saying that if you want like a slash kinda sound those pick ups and that they are what he uses

  • Is the ash lite tele better than the standard tele?

  • Try both and decide by yourself.

Even 2 guitars of the same model and the same year sound completely different.

  • You are right. Two different guitars can sound way different. I just posted a video response of me playing the same guitar......so much of the tone is in the player I believe.....and your rig, of course. Happy pickin.....sounds good!

  • Thanks for your vid :)

  • sounds amazing

    and cheap

is this better than a american tele?

  • no, the american telecaster is better.

  • Wow, I like the tone a lot! Especially the part in the middle where you switched to the neck pickup. I'm thinking about replacing the stock pickups on my MIM strat, do you think I could get a similar sound with the alnico ii pros for strat?

  • sure, but remember the special ubication of the neck pickup in a telecaster.

  • Sounds great, but it doesn't sound that twangy???

  • This is because the amp eq, with tones of lows that gives body to the sound... but with these lows, we miss the "twamng"... And the "hi gain" setting doesn't contribute to the twang tone...

Please check my other video ( Fender Lite ash telecaster - VHT sig:X)

    Thank you for watching :)

  • Would you recommend the lite ash telecaster over the Fender Classic Player Baja Tele? I'm torn between the two. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  • The best advice I could ever tell you is that before buying, try both!

Maybe for me the baja is better or maybe the lite ash... Please, buy using your ears, not your eyes ;)

  • If you want versatility, then a swamp ash Fender telecaster is what you should try.

  • For me, the most versatile guitar I have, is a PRS Swamp Ash special...

    :)

  • whats a better guitar a Fender Lite Ash Strat or tele?

  • No idea, I only played the tele.

    I'm sorry.

  • tele

  • Gleat Playing!!

  • thank you

  • ive got a tele lite ash now too.

but is it normal that the body is mad of two woodparts?

  • Mine is one piece.

It's relatively normal, but when buying guitars, check these details before!!!

  • Hey, what color is this? It looks really close to Butterscotch blonde more than vintage white. Did Fender come out with a new finish for the Lite Ash or is this what the vintage white actually looks like?

  • it's natural finish

  • the photo i have seen of this guitar has a black neck pickup....

is that just a cover or something?

    i'm confused =S

  • nop, the stock pickups are seymourduncan alnicpro2 and the bridge is black and the neck one is "mirror".

  • great vid =]

im getting this guitar soon in december and i cant wait =D

    5 star vid !!

  • Thank you!

    It's a nice guitar! ;)

  • would you recomend it over an epiphone les paul custom?

  • they're completely different... Single coil vs humbuckers, bolt on neck vs set in, lite ash vs mahogany, crisp sound vs dark sound, maple neck vs mahogany neck, maple fretboard vs rosewood.... Fender vs Epiphone...

I think that the fender has better woods and pickups than the epi... But that's only my opinion... Try both!

  • hey im getting that guitar in december as well! what a coincedence

  • haha, could it posibably be that christmas is in december? :P

  • SD alnico pro II are great pickups. Do they come with the stock guitar?

  • Yes, and birdseye maple neck and fretboard.

Extra big strap anchors, beautiful ash body, bronze saddles...

  • Very nice playing.. And I like the guitar, I'm getting the lite ash strat (when I have the money :( )

  • thank you :)

  • No offense to anyone, but why would you play metal with a Tele. It has sooo much character and tone. It just sings pure blues/country/rock. I just don't get why you would tune it down and play metal...my $.02

  • Please dont mind. Some of us metalheads are just pure natural retarded.

  • haha riot on brother !!

  • Jim root has a sig doesnt he?? its not what ya play its how ya play it,

  • BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE METAL NUMBNUTS!!!! You would play metal with a tele because they sound AWESOME for metal. AND YOU DONT have to tune down for metal. Either way, the cool thing about metal is you can play it on anything.

  • i like metal sometimes but in this moment i don´t .. :) i hate when people uses gibson sgs for examplet to play metal.. or like this guitar if u play metal u sould have a powerfull esp-guitar fender , gibson are made for feeling and some distortion. but if u play punk u can play whatever u want.. like a cheap lukelelle whith a huge amp.. (cheap) but punk is nice sometimes too, wow my longest reply ever??

  • I still disagree with a below poster. Guitars are not Cars that analogy doesn't work. I play metal just fine with my tele, and better than most amateur players. Seplatura does just fine as well.

  • You can play jazz with a ESP explorer with EMG 81... but... not the best sound for jazz.

  • thanks man (P.S i wish i had the money to buy both!)

  • first off great playin but i have a problem. I was already to buy a deluxe strat when i picked up a tele at a guitar center just for fun and loved it. Im i big fan of rock and blues along with some metal (but ive got my SG for that) I really need ure help ive been playin for 9 years now so i do have quite some experience. Srat or Tele?

  • Strats are more versatile, but teles have more personality :)

I prefer the body of a tele, there are telecaster with s-s-s configuration, very versatile and with more personality than strats...

But a H-S-S strat is (for me) the best choice.

    But, try both before buying.

The best advice that I could tell you is:

    Buy both! XD

  • I got the cream one, i have to say, im a huge fan of natural but the cream one is so classy.

  • thats the one that i want it looks amazing. the classiness of the vintage white coupled with the birdseye neck is awesome

  • cool sound.

i want to buy a lite-ash too, but i dont know

    wich colour i take.

what do you think: vintage white, or main natural?

  • I like it in natural :)

  • hi im looking to by one of these beasty guitars

what is the quality like? does it go out of tune often ?

    thanks

  • The tunners are ok, but not the best...

  • the lite ash kosts in ger. 475€ (670$);(

  • just got this guitar today... it's fantastic

  • yes, really nice in quality/price

  • im hoping to get the same guitar in same color in the next few weeks for my birthday

  • Wow! It will be a nice present! :)

  • great guitar.. got the same 5 months ago.. mine is natural, too and has the nr 07111802 :D love this thing <3

  • yes it's a nice guitar! :)

    Thank you.

  • Ey eric,

how does this instrument takes up punk rock?

  • The telecaster is basically for country and blues... Some rock... but nothing more.

For punk it's very thin, not enough output, and the neck is not the fastest one...

For punk I recommend a LesPaul model, or if you want a telecaster, swap the pickups and put a humbucker in single coil format (hot-rails, little jb, fast track...)

  • I just have been looking into a whole different way. And I just found out the Ibanez Iceman already new it while trying out Metal (I normally play death metal).

It had something special to me however I missed a special finish to it.

However I found out it's also able to give it a little finish myself though. What's your opinion about that idea. and thanks for you comment.

I don't really want a les Paul guitar because they are really common. And not very special into my eyes.

  • The new Iceman it's Ok. It has DiMarzio D-activator stock pickups (sound similar to Active pickups like EMG)

It's a nice guitar; great for metal, hardcore and punk.

  • Ok, thanks.

I have played them they are indeed nice. however it's advicable for more brutal metal.

  • Really dude, teles and strats do everything,I mean look at all the great tele players, for blues,John Mayer plays a thinline alot, for alternative,J.Mascis (dinosaur Jr),and Kurt Cobain (Nirvana),for metal,John 5 (Manson's old guitarist) plays one with humbuckers,Tom Morello (Rage),Teles are best known for country, but thats more strerotypical,Scotty Anderson, possibly the best country guitarist ever,John Frusciante(Chili Peppers)has a 63 tele,With the right pickups, you can do anything with a Fender.

  • I agree.

    Thank you for watching! :)

  • no problem,great playing.

  • You apparently have never listened to slayer. Dont listen to this guy, you can play anything on a tele, it's all about how you play. This neck is just fine for metal, or punk from what i've played. Neck is plenty fast.

  • You can race with a stock car in F1, but it's not the best option.

With the tele is the same, you can play anything, but for metal/punk... it's not the best. But you can play it with that guitar.

  • is that a butterscotch blonde lite ash? where did you get that?

  • No, it's natural; the color is because the cam quality... XD

  • I wanna buy a telecaster... but what would you recomend to someone who plays mostly rock like indie rock, classic, hard-rock - a tele or a strat? what do you think it's more versatile?

    Nice playing (;

  • a strat is more versatile, but for indie rock, maybe a telecaster does the job! :)

Bur for hard rock... A h-s-s strat.

Maybe a H-s tele could be nice... :)

Try both and buy the best for you.

  • Just one more question... can I put an humbucker in any telecaster? Because I see some teles and some strats with bridge humbuckers... xD thanks! ^^

  • You can put a humbucker in sincle coil format in almost every telecaster :)

Check out the dimarzio webpage, also check the semour duncan... For hard rock, I recomend you the fast track 2 from DiMarzio.

  • Love how your tele sounds ^^

I've searched those Fast Track T from DiMarzio and it seems they have high treble, that will give you a lot of "twang" and I don't like when a tele sounds a lot twangy :S that's more for country right?

    Thanks a lot!

  • No, the fasttrack2 has:

    Treble 5/10

    Mid 8/10

    Bass 7.5/10

This is to sound fat and powerful!!! :)

  • and finally... what do you think of the Hot Rails from duncan to tele ? It's seems that they're great for that kind of sound!

  • nice pickup, check out the little 59 too! :)

  • Aren't the fast track 2 for strats? or it can be used also on teles?

    Thanks

  • You can try the fastrack-T for tele.

    But it's more "crispy".

The SD little 59 is a great pickup... maybe a little "vintage" for the bridge, but excel·lent for neck.

  • WHAT A NICE SOUND,NICE PLAYING!

  • wow, thank you. :)

  • haha

    wow amazing vid mate,

im thinkin of gettin a light ash tele, only thing is that there made in korea, im always worried about the nexk warping and affecting the action. U had any trouble with this?

other than that, where did u learn to solo like that? i'm a pianist and a singer but ive been self teaching guitar for a few years, but i cud do with sum serious pointers along the way.

    any help wud be appreciated

    cheers

  • Hum.... First of all, thanks :)

Lite ash tele is a pretty good guitar, nice finish, nice setup, fast neck... all it's ok... a little bit "crisp" but, nice tele.

I learn to soloing watching videos from my favorite groups (Bon jovi, aerosmith, satriania...) Just listen and try to reproduce te same sound at the same point where they play ... it's difficult, but it's very gratificant when you get it.

    See ya.

  • Amazing playing, i'm gonna buy fender telecaster too.
