This reminds me of a show I watched once. Two characters were at this baptism in the middle of a river or lake or something, I don't know. One of them was Jewish. The other continually dunked him under the water, trying to get him to accept Jesus. At one point, he says "Do you accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior?", or something to that effect. The other says no before being dunked under the water yet again. He ends up drowning.

@huskycommander most religions are pretty bad if you actually look at what they're preaching. in the instance of Islam it's killing all infidels. In Judeochristian religions it's killing people who work on Sunday, are in love with another man, don't believe in their god, or just plain make you mad. In reality one of the commandments of Yahweh is to kill anyone who works on Sunday. So about half of america should be stoned to death right now if that holy book was law.

@zottejakke3 Yes! I have no idea what this 'wiabu' virus is, but the rewriting and voice acting in English dubs is almost always terrible. Japanese with English subtitles is the best way to watch it.

I contend that most megachurch pastors, all faith healers, and people like Kent Hovind, are exactly that. They still argue for the beliefs that make them money, whether they really believe them or not.

@Morrakiu I contend that anyone who makes their living by recieving donations from people that they preach to about their favorite deity is using religion for their own selfish benefits. But, as they say, if you follow what people say it will get you nowhere. If you follow your gut, it'll get you in trouble. If you follow the money, however, it's almost certain to get you the truth.

@FIGHTFANNERD3 FMA is a japanese show, their views on the matter is not the same as us, occidentals.The fact that the main character is a (badass) atheist was not in order to promote atheism but simply used to accentuate the debate between faith and rationality and how those can both be deceiving. Note how some other work from the same author is about a young monk going on a journey to achieve some mythical prophecy.. what does that tell you? Atheist theist or neither? Probably the third option

You're getting caught up in semantics. An Atheist who says "There is no God" is espousing a form of faith.

One who says; "There is no proof of a God so I don't believe in God" is expressing a lack of faith.

Us agnostics try to keep track of these things. ;-)

If we use your ''logic'', every Christian for instance would be in the religion of the non belief in Allah, Buddha, Ganesh, Thor, etc...
