If you look at major issues like health care, climate change, the wars Americans generally tend to agree with the "liberal" point of view. Only recently did a slim majority of 51% of Americans claim to be pro-life instead of pro-choice but even then only 23% percent of Americans wish to ban it completely.
Go to Gallup's or Zogby's or Pew's website and look up the issue's I mentioned in my last comment the numbers between the polling organizations aren't radically different that is of course if you trust public opinion polling and don't think it has a liberal bias like every other fucking thing conservatives think has a liberal bias.
Youre assuming that most people are liberal because they support these things, HOWEVER when it comes to actually considering themselves "liberal" people dont go as far as considering themselves one because of the implications that it carries (higher taxes, less traditional views).
