Not all abused people go on to be murderers. States with the death penalty give it to people who, if ever released to society, will not adjust to standards of decency and kill again.
Whether or not you agree with the death penalty, you can't argue that Aileen wouldn't have most certainly killed more people if she was ever released. She is a victim, but victimization is not an excuse for murder. No amount of therapy could have fixed her.

it goes both ways: people can "blame" society for making them both rich and poor if they want. but whenever something goes well, people take ultimate pride for it and are 100% accountable in their minds. when shit hits fan, they blame society, their parents, spouse, god or anything they see.

I mean, yes she killed 7 men but she was tortured all her life. She was so broken, it was like she snapped just like that. I know the feeling of depression and childhood trama. When you have no one it breaks a person. @lillisameola You make a good point; I agree with you. I think all the abuse finally caught up with her, and she just snapped and started murdering people. Not justifying what she did, but hopefully people will look at her life and see what potenitally could happen when someone is horribly mistreated their whole life and no one (especially when the person is still young) steps in to help and give the person a fair shake in life.

We don't uncover the reasons that cause murder especially and instead we get people on death row making up crazier stories. Once they are dead the truth doesn't matter anymore. Society needs to realize that its living with murderers right now in public unknown. The notion of bloodshed for bloodshed is helping people sleep at night. Its scary to think about the "what if she's innocent?"
