  • i agree about Chuck Jackson, but he is also one cocky mother, thinks he is what makes Downchild, when it's all 6 members that move this one and only blues band.

  • miss you hock thanks for all the good times.

remember scadding house where if first meet him

    rest in peace.

    norm

  • Jane Vasey tickling the ivory....RIP Jane

  • Hock Walsh doin' the hand jive ! What a shame !

  • Rest in peace Mr Richard "Hock" Walsh

  • Downchild's has never been the same without the Hock.

  • Every Downchild singer after the Hock was a pretender.

  • @1960taylor thats bullshit. Chuck Jackson is an incredible front man.

Not easy to sit in for any original singer. But Chuck is a great singer and harmonica player.

Great show in Wasaga Beach fellas. keep rockin 42 years and counting......

    Downchild..respect

  • Hear ye, hear ye. I fall down and raise my hat to the man who can tell me...#1 what album this absolutely stunning song is off (cause I gotta have it) and #2. What exactly is the lyrics Hock is singing on this one. I tried and tried and now I gave up and am asking for HELP from anybody. His phrasing is FUCKING stunning! but my God I gotta know what he's singing about fully!! HELP!!!!

  • I've been trying to figure out who the drummer is on this one...anyone?

  • @peyotecoyote73 That's Wayne Wilson on drums. Shuffle master.

  • @tynertyner thanks :)(:

  • I always thought Hock was the true original among the brothers, nobody else has his sound. Donnie, while certainly competent, sounds like a million other bar bluesers.

  • yeh but what about wildchild?

  • Ironic that Hock is wearing a shirt that says Happy New Year as he died on New Year's Eve....

  • a truly great CANADIAN band i have seen you guys a couple of times back in the late 70's early 80's when you toured western canada (loved jane, life cut short)i love this band

  • Hock wasn't a vocal poser, he sang with directness and a sly insight.

  • This is really cool!!! What year would this have been?

  • By the by, all you up and coming blues shouters...check out 2.33 where Hock turns the phrasing on it's head...Donnie looks sideways in mild disbelief and then realizes that the Hock has turned things back inside out, to where, "sho' enough", everything is copacetic.

  • R H W Thank you for being my friend and teacher I truly miss you

  • Hock !!! We miss you !!! He brought a lot of BluesJoy to Toronto !!!

  • Those guys are awesome! Great tune.

  • Great stuff! The only footage I've been able to find of Richard "Hock" Walsh. Always thought he was great. More, please.

  • he needs a hat!

  • Awesome! Thanks for this "turn back the hands of time video"

  • Thank you for posting this - just what I needed!

  • The original "Blues Brothers" Donnie and Hock. Thanks for posting this. Great video from Canada's premier blues band.
