I love Oreskaband, but this is just sad and it seems like it's very poorly directed/produced. They deserve better.

According to several tweets today between myself and Chris Grismer (the director), this movie has been in legal trouble for some time. Apparently, Sony Japan (Oreskaband's record label) sued the American producers for fraud. Will this movie ever get a wide release? Will there be a sequel? Probably not :(

I love Oreskaband. I haven't seen the film but the clips I've seen look great. I hope it will widen the band's fanbase abroad - if it ever gets a release date!

I really hope the film focuses on Oreskaband rather than that Lucas guy, whoever he is. I can tell he is going to be damn annoying. Their songs also better include more Ska guitar than what I heard in this trailer. They are a Ska band afterall.
