i want to live in an rv..but here in canada winter is too cold....even if a can afford a nice apartment i think i will be more happy in an rv...like i enjoy riding my bicycle more than driving a car
No superlatives are enough. This guy is amazing. He doesn't come off as haughty or condescending. Instead, he's positive, enthusiastic and encouraging. Moreover, he approaches problems with workable solutions.
@rosterchange I think Bakari is a great interview as well. Actually I did a couple more videos - they should show up on related- on his work (biodiesel-fueled hauling service) & on his 150 sq ft RV.
I also just filmed 1 or 2 more stories with him that I will be posting in the next couple of months. So yeah, I agree with you.
Being indefinitely sustainable as humanity not only involves lieving like you, but keeping the actual human population numbers on earth stable... A difficult task.
@DavidCraigHiser Hi, thanks for sharing this excellent video. I am curious about the place where you have your RV parked in. How much do/did you pay for it? I am interested in an RV like yours, but I read that trailer parks are quite expensive, whereas you claim you don't pay that much for the electricity and water. That's why I ask about the place you have your RV in.
@yourdamntube First, I live in the SF bay area, which is one of the most expensive in the nation. It is normal here to pay over $1000 a month for an apartment, or $600 or more for just a single room in a shared house.
So, "cheap" is relative.
I pay $485 for rent, and about $50 for water, electricity, and garbage combined.
This is split between me and my girlfriend, so we pay around $270 each for rent and utilities - and unlike a room, we don't have to share a bathroom or kitchen with roommates.
@yourdamntube There's a separate bedroom, guess it just didn't make the cut (I didn't film or edit the video). The living room / dining room / kitchen are all one big open room, the bathroom is behind them with a door, and the bedroom is behind the bathroom with another door.

@boskejug Wouldn't you agree that population control would not be necessary if most people lived like this?
MrCamerononicus 3 months ago
Human beings are the most valuable asset on earth. It is foolish to try to limit the number of them. See the comment made by the RV owner at 0:18.

@boskejug good point. We need to add adoption to the list of changes we need to make

@DavidCraigHiser OK, what about the bedroom? I did not see any bedroom in your RV. Where is it?

@newbutthunt Try riding a bicycle in Canada during the winter. Lots of people do it.

@Yosef9438 I once worked as a bicycle messenger in the snow. Kind of sucked, actually, but tolerable.

@newbutthunt check out "lauriejennifer " channel. She has done it for the past few winters and she's a girl. Sort of..

@newbutthunt I used to live in a place that snows. I still rode my bicycle to work every day. Didn't even own a car.
But more importantly, I realized that living in a place where it snows sucks (not just for travel, but for heating bills, and more) so I moved.
No one can use climate as an excuse for wasting energy. Its a free country. Move somewhere better.
