All of these handsome men were definitely before my time, but when I was old enough, their movies played over and over and I just loved watching Gidget with James Darren and Fabian in Cat Ballou and John Saxon in a variety of TV Shows. I always felt I was born too late, too, I missed all the great 1950s - early 1960s stuff because I was too young to do anything. Not that any of these guys would have given me a second glance. Now that I'm older, I'm thinking I was born way too soon. ha ha Especially when I have to give my date of birth to people. LOL Thanks for the lovely video.

Well, I'm male and straight so I am not swooning, but I was only two years old when this song charted, so I was born too late to appreciate it back in its time. I heard it for the first time on Westwood One's nostalgia feed on a local station about ten years ago, and it has been one of my favorites ever since. Thanks so much for posting this song and video.

Hey James Darren fan! My favorite JD movie is Diamond Head. He was just great as full-blooded Hawaiian Paul Kahana. JD has certainly given more intense performances, in dramatic films like Let No Man Write My Epithet and Venus in Furs. But to me theres something special about DH. He and Yvette light up the screen with their Hawaiian wedding dance. As beautiful as Yvette was though, I think JD had better chemistry with Pamela Tiffin.
