Michael Callan had the most beautiful eyes and James Darren was so dreamy....even though I was born too late they always made my heart beat a little faster....excellent video
GREAT MEMORIES:) THNX FOR THE TRIP BACK IN TIME,,,,, WE NEED TO ALL BOND TOGETHER WHERE DID THAT ERA GO? DID CORPORATE AMERICA SWALLOW UP INDIVIDUALITY?:)
A GOOD SUMMER ROMANCE SONG I REMEMBER IT WELL....A GIRL SANG THIS SONG TO ME WAY BACK IN THE 60S..SHE WAS SOOOOOOO CUTE I KISS HER AND RAN HOME ..I WAS A LITTLE GUY THEN!
the guy at 00:36 is the fabulous "Fabian", and I agree with you where's Ricky N. the cutest of all these guys...although Michael Callan is pretty easy on the eyes.!!
@sodapopnelson: Oh, Darlin', that is Fabian. Only got better with age. Not a great singer, but how hooooot!!!!!!..I just want him to stand still so I can cream my jeans and drool.
Michael Callan was adorable, and he was indeed born too late. He's a phenomenal talent, and would have been a huge star if he'd been born before the studio system was dying.
I thought I was the only one that grew up watching old movies and had crushes on all four of those actors - all of them older than my father! Your video was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!
All of these handsome men were definitely before my time, but when I was old enough, their movies played over and over and I just loved watching Gidget with James Darren and Fabian in Cat Ballou and John Saxon in a variety of TV Shows. This is truly a beautiful tribute to 4 handsome (and sexy) men. ***** & thumbs up!
I always felt I was born too late, too, I missed all the great 1950s - early 1960s stuff because I was too young to do anything. Not that any of these guys would have given me a second glance. Now that I'm older, I'm thinking I was born way too soon. ha ha Especially when I have to give my date of birth to people. LOL Thanks for the lovely video.
This is such a great song from the Poni Tails. Takes me back to 1958 in the fabulous 50's when I was in the second grade and had a crush on an older girl in school.
Wonderful combination of music and pictures to present some of the top young male entertainers of that time. James Darren, Mickey Callen, John Saxon and Fabian had their share of female fans who fell in love with them. Ron
Well, I'm male and straight so I am not swooning, but I was only two years old when this song charted, so I was born too late to appreciate it back in its time. I heard it for the first time on Westwood One's nostalgia feed on a local station about ten years ago, and it has been one of my favorites ever since. Thanks so much for posting this song and video.
This is wonderful!!May I have your approval to use this on my soon to be launched website of an example of great music paired with video and photo images? Thank you for your review of the above. Sincerely, Cheryl Williams, San Antonio, Tx.
I was also born too late. Never heard this until maybe 10 years ago on a Delaware station playing the Westwood One nostalgia feed. Sadly it has gone sports talk. Anyway, I love the song. Thanks for posting!
Very cool. I wasn't born too late, at least not for this era. And I loved and danced to this song by The Ponytails. But ... I always felt I was born too late because I loved the 1920s and '30s and wish I'd been around then. ;-)
There will never be music of the 50's and early 60's quality ever again, unless the kids do a complete flip flop and get away from talking about killling or slapping women.50' was all about Love and respect for women.I to was born 10 yrs to late.Oct '56.Still love the sounds of that era.Elvis,All the Beach movie music with Frankie and Annette!!We lost that time, wish we could have it back, and do some Strolling!!
I wasn't born too late but unfortunately I was the wrong sex....as a gay teen I was in love with James Darren...Mickey Callen and John Saxon also on my list of favorite stars...I wrote them fan letters on a weekly basis and I still have autographed photos of them somewhere...thanks for the memories Muirmaiden !
Have just found this clip...what a sensational song, accompanying these gorgeous guys..but you left out Rick Nelson. I was born in the early 50s and to this day much prefer that era of music...
LOVE this song!!! James Darren and Michael Callan were two of the most beautiful men in the early 60's when I was just a kid. they have the most beautiful eyes!!! thanks so much for making this video!!!
My sis was the right age, but I was most definately born too late. But even at he tender age of ten, I still thought I had a chance with Moondoggie. Lovely vid and pics, thanks!
Hey James Darren fan! My favorite JD movie is Diamond Head. He was just great as full-blooded Hawaiian Paul Kahana. JD has certainly given more intense performances, in dramatic films like Let No Man Write My Epithet and Venus in Furs. But to me theres something special about DH. He and Yvette light up the screen with their Hawaiian wedding dance. As beautiful as Yvette was though, I think JD had better chemistry with Pamela Tiffin.
Michael Callan. He always made a great bad boy. Dark, glittering and dangerous. Green eyes filled with angst. Wish he would have bonked Gidget in "Goes Hawaiian"! Gidget would have Gone Wild!
AWESOME!! These guys are great especially James Darren. He's like a fine wine and improves with age. I was also born too late, but the good news is it's not too late now!!
