Here is the situation. A lot of people have been accused of over staying their visas. reality is, a lot of people have gathered the correct documents and followed the steps to submit their extensions or visa renewals. but the process takes so long, that those people have gone out of status waiting for immigration to either reject or renew! i was in that situation for 3 months where i had to hire a lawyer. i got things fixed thankfully.. so its unfair to say that those people didn't try!

@onstageagain Well, while I agree with you IN PRINCIPLE, Congresspeople get 100% of their active salary as "retirement pay", so threatening to fire them is really no threat at all. They get paid the same, and don't have to do any of the work for it!
That said, I call ICE whenever I see illegals at a worksite. The "inconvenience" has forced one construction co. out of business, and the others have started hiring Americans!

A lot of people have been accused of over staying their visas. reality is, a lot of people have gathered the correct documents and followed the steps to submit their extensions or visa renewals. but the process takes so long, that those people have gone out of status waiting for immigration to either reject or renew! i was in that situation for 3 months where i had to hire a lawyer. i got things fixed thankfully.. so its unfair to say that those people didn't try!

@onstageagain Well, while I agree with you IN PRINCIPLE, Congresspeople get 100% of their active salary as "retirement pay", so threatening to fire them is really no threat at all. They get paid the same, and don't have to do any of the work for it!
That said, I call ICE whenever I see illegals at a worksite. The "inconvenience" has forced one construction co. out of business, and the others have started hiring Americans!

We could not continue on a state and city level to arrest these people because they were costing far more $ than the system was taking in. Hoping the Fed would do its job. She was brought over here by her parents illegally but the poor little thing has done so good and she wants to practice law and do everything by the law. I find that ironic and laughable. I don't feel sorry for her or her sorry ass parents.
