  • Flea?!!! Where??!!!!!!

  • Im sorry, Flea from the Chilli Peppers? Not Radiohead.

  • @Rainewatches this isn't radiohead, this is atoms of peace. different band. fleas in it.

  • what's wrong with the american audience????

  • can the audience just shut the fuck up while he's playing??

  • what a god

  • Baby your the BEST

  • I must say I like this version better than TKOL's

  • @Hianndryv

    I agree to a degree

  • Incredible song. His voice is amazing

  • anyone yelling during a solo/soft song needs to shut the fuck up

  • Well, I guess there's a few reasons for putting Flea in the title.

'Atoms for Peace' > Yorke's band (Flea is in it).

This was in '09 before anybody had heard of Lotus Flower so I guess it was assumed it'd be a Thom Yorke solo song like on the Eraser. Or performed with Atoms for Peace.

  • does this audience not know who the fuck is performing? It's Thom Yorke ass holes! shut your traps and listen. Take in the moment, get lost in it...don't ruin it with your rambling pathetic yapping. You could do that after the song is over. Radiohead appreciation 101. You're welcome.

  • i was there! beautiful!

  • god, it was either after this song or the next one where Thom told the guy yelling THOMMY to shut the fuck up... i think his exact words were, "HEY LOUD MOUTH, SHUT THE FUCK UP." Happy birthday Thom. I love you.

  • haha he repeats the first line.. nothing like fucking up your own song.

  • love Thom Yorke's introduction

  • fucking badass.

  • I agree, the crowd yelling is fucking annoying

  • Couldn't a sensible, cultured member of the audience turn around and tell these yelling a-holes to STFU?? Why the bloody hell do people have to phucking yell "yeaaa"? Thanks a-holes for ruining what would have been a perfectly delightful video

  • Can't stand the people in the audience... this isn't a football game.

  • ATTENTION ALL...Flea is the bass player in Thom Yorkes side project called "Atoms For Peace..

  • Woah, a year and a half before this song was released. I just recently got into Radiohead, so I can't imagine the surprise and amazement a fan familiar with this song must have when it was finally released.

  • Does anyone know what this is about? It sounds like a divorce/breakup to me. Very easy to learn and sing along too!

  • @olympiada06 the lotus flower us a symbol of enlightenment in buddhism. and thom is singing about letting his heart take over his life and losing his ego..which is why i belive he used such self expressive dancing in the music video (something some people might think looks silly)

  • this song was made to be acoustic

  • @alpharawr No bass is playing, the lowest note you can hear is the lowest guitar string (e) which Thom is using his thumb to pluck

  • flea is above this?

  • i like this semi acoustic version better than official version

  • oh my god... get over flea being in the picture. he can outplay every one of ya'll with a bass. Thom Yorke accepted him ha... do the same.

  • @alpharawr that "bass" you hear are the lower strings of the guitar being played by Thom.

  • I remember this day :):):)

  • 'Why the fuck did you put Flea in the title?' Well probably because Flea was playing with him at that gig. Maybe because they're in the same band. R-tard.

  • Comment removed

  • @davelovesdrums why didn't he put the others then? my god you people are so stupidly in love with showing off...

  • Much better than the version in KoL.

  • @NightmareGanon

    No way, man/woman.

  • very few people in the states appreciate good music!

  • I should think that Thom and the guys love their American fans enough to forgive them this small, cultural quirk. We get excited. We like it. It's why we made amusement parks and roller-coasters. I'm sure he takes it as the compliment it's intended to be. Besides, if you've ever performed, you know this "energy exchange" has it's own ways of working and it's best to let it go and have a good time.

  • It doesn't matter at all how you appreciate an artists music as long as you appreciate it. Maybe Thom likes the "American" crowds because they let him know they appreciate his art by getting into the music, and (also/maybe) Thom likes the "English" crowd for pensively and thoughtfully thinking about everything his art has to offer.

  • Loudmouth wanker Americans pointlessly howling like its a baseball game. Shut the fucking fuck up you fucking bunch of stupid cunts.

  • I love it when Radiohead (or Thom Yorke solo) use hollow-body guitars or Gibsons with those nice thick mellow tones. Thats why I loved the smooth, thick, mellow guitar on In Rainbows and the later half of the King of Limbs . . . it complements his voice perfectly.

  • people yell 'wooo' because they are happy.. love life.. love the moment... maybe your life sucks and you are bitter, and it upsets you to hear happy people yell 'wooo' .. as for that english prick saying he's better then American's... well isn't that just about the most stereotypically 'american' thing you can say... and i'm pretty sure this was in Canada... snobby english fail .. so for all the happy people out there - WOOO HOOO THOM ROCKS!!!!

  • @familystoned69 Loas Angeles is in Canada? California is also? News to me.

  • @adamgergich96 So I take this to mean you've never cheered at the beginning of any song you've ever heard performed right? Because otherwise you're just an ignorant prick who dislikes America, probably without ever having been there, because it's popular to do so.

  • @rankzappa3 he's got a point though i was just about to post the exact same thing, its so annoying, its just a suprise that he wasnt shouting FREEE BUUURDD

  • just watched him preform this in england.. litteraly not a peep from the audiene.

trust the americans to ruin it with random woo's and cheers.

  • @brenonion Look up Atoms For Peace

  • @brenonion check my Lotus Flower ????

  • @brenonion because your cock is the size of a flea

  • @brenonion to get the RHCP fans a-lookin' =P

  • @brenonion Because he played with Thom in this.. He just wasn't featured in this particular song.

  • @brenonion Yeah whats up with that? i was like "flea from rhcp played with thom yorke?" wow. but it turns out you lied. thanks.

  • @brenonion maybe cos he in the band.....idiot.......

  • @GfunkGymnast Since when has Flea been in radiohead?

  • @kona6495 He's not.....this band is called "Atoms for Peace".....Completely different from Radiohead.......It's made of Thom Yorke (Radiohead) Vocals, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Bass, Nigel Godrich (Radioheads Producer) Guitar/Keyboard, Joey Waronker Drums and Mauro Refosco who also play percussion.

  • @GfunkGymnast thats fair enough... but this song is on a Radiohead album..?

  • @kona6495 Yeah true but this performance was a year and a half before the album was released.....think this is one that was soley written by Thom Yorke and he was debating whether to relase it with Radiohead or Atoms Of Peace......

  • @GfunkGymnast Thumbs up!

  • @brenonion so that all you RHCP fans could finally see what real music is! hahahaha

  • @Wyzeblud RHCP is one of my favorite bands. Btw Radiohead IS my favorite.. but i think RHCP know what music is :D

  • @Wyzeblud type in "john frusciante solo" into youtube, before you talk any more shit about rhcp

  • @brenonion because Flea played a tour with Thom Yorke?

  • @brenonion flea from Red Hot Chilli Peppers

  • sounds real good but i love it even more with the sick beat in Lotus Flower in the album

  • FLEA?!?!

    i didnt see him...

  • lucky people !

  • I hope in some near future thom does an ALL acoustic album. I would buy as much as i can afford and give it to all the people i know as a gift. Just to spread the fantastic music :-)

  • really cool song

  • The best in the world

  • i love thom yorke

  • Thom Yorke is a modern day shaman; his totem is his guitar, purging the evil spirits of capitalism and greed in the world through his trance like rituals. He even performs spontaneous, ecstatic dance to work himself up into a state of communion with the truth, sharing it with all who listen with open ears and minds.

    -long time radiohead fanboy

  • " Us on hard drugs ? That would be horrible. We'd probably end up sounding like Bryan Adams. " - Thom Yorke

  • rock on flea! he's so damn funky

  • Thom Yorke is pure talent

  • There would never be another war again if the entire world was made to listen to this song.

  • his voice..

  • the van gogh of music

  • @hashkat Thom Yorke is the Sylvester Stallone of music.

  • @vicprobey what's your reasoning, stranger?

  • @hashkat He's old and on drugs.

  • @vicprobey he's a pretty sober dude, bro.

  • @vicprobey What a moron.

  • @vicprobey the fukin chuck norris of music. invincible!

  • holy sh*t thats a good camera quality you got there.

  • все песни на один мотив

  • Another amazing song in the books!!! Perfecto!!

  • THERE. Know what he's saying now? :D

  • what is he saying???

  • What did Thom say at the beginning?

  • this sounds way better than mine hahahaha.Great video!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • so beautiful

  • Nice camera

  • nice quality!

  • I've got the warm fuzzies for this recording. Good advert for the Panasonic Lumix too by the looks. Thanks for posting!

  • Not a big fan of this version, the studio recording seems more complete. Still a good song though!

  • Does anyone one know what the deeper meaning to this song is?

  • @janouy1234 its about sex

  • @janouy1234 its about sex

  • this song is an exercise in one's capacity for emotions. Thx again Thom

    partyofya– well put my friend

  • anyone tabbed this mofo!?!?

  • @GirWhitesand - Check out "warrenmusic" for all your radiohead tabbing needs....

  • do what you waaaaant

  • watch video @ TheRaydiohead channel

  • impresionanteeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • i bet even if the whole album was a 37 minute fart, people would say its brilliant....

just admit it king of limbs is not a solid radiohead album, and a dissapointment after 4 years of waiting :/

  • @StefanosArapoglou LOL, are you going to write this comment on every rh video on youtube? It wasn't funny the first time, but feel free to wallow in your own disappointment.

  • @ptniff waiting for people to react, maybe get some intresting opinions

  • @StefanosArapoglou the album is awesome. i really do feel bad that you cant comprehend it and enjoy it like the rest of us. You're truly missing out.

  • @StefanosArapoglou not solid? are you serious?

  • @StefanosArapoglou I like good music. I like TKOL. I don't have to admit anything... I'm not dissapointed in it or the band, reason being that I like it and them and have better things to do other than wait for Radiohead to release a new album. And when they release one, I'll listen. Anyway. It's just your opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • gotta say, love the new version...

  • why do people randomly shout woo during such an intimate performance?

  • @csmurphyx500 I've never understood that either. Many live recordings I have (also of other bands) have been ruined by some idiots going 'yeaaah, woooh!'

Worst time was when radiohead played in the netherlands in 2003 and the Dutch football team were playing at the time of the gig. During Exit Music, which starts as a very quiet song, all I heard was people talking about the bloody football. Srsly people, shut up or just go outside and shout at eachother there. (n)

  • @csmurphyx500 idk but it's disturbing :S

  • @csmurphyx500 Alcohol.

  • @csmurphyx500

Parents didn't give them enough attention.

  • @csmurphyx500 because they're American

  • @MrC3000 youre favorite video is by justin beiber. fuck off

  • @MrC3000 hey I take offense to that! I'm American lol

  • @MrC3000 Since when has Abingdon, Oxfordshire been in America? Oh yes your right it takes me about 2 hours to get there from Nottingham, its just down the M1 off j15a strait into the USA lol

  • @MrC3000 ahhaha fucking americans! right?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrC3000 Flea was inspired during this session..with AFP. he said being with an "energetic" musician is giving Flea a great influence and inspiration...and this is why British music is so undead

  • @csmurphyx500 it is fucking anoying indeed

  • @csmurphyx500 wooooooooooooooooooo

  • It is me or is he warning us about something.... curious minds think alike....

  • amazing zoom u have. what kind of camera do you use?

  • First single

  • I hope to CHRIST this is on The King of Limbs.

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx Yup, but it's a little more electronic-y than this version. I like this one better : \

  • @flea6115 disagree. the gods made kid a 2, and it's incredible.

  • @SuperiFox i'd say rather amnesiac 2, but agree, incredible is the word

  • @whateversunsaid yeah, it is like amnesiac more, but i didn't like amnesiac that much. it had fantastic songs, but it didn't flow together like king of limbs or kid a for me. none the less, all radiohead albums are fan-fucking-tastic!

  • @SuperiFox yes, that's the only think i could object to amnesiac too! i just don't get how people can complain about TKOL.. did they really have a listen to it and didn't feel anything AT ALL? can't believe it..

  • @whateversunsaid yeah, the people who didnt like it are the hipsters who only liked the previous albums cause it was cool. at least, that's got to be the reason.... codex is incredible. maybe better than pyramid song for me. and bloom's got that crazy rhythm. it's all incredible.

  • @SuperiFox gotta love 'em all.. and I KNOW new stuff is coming out next, so let's stay tuned ;)

  • @whateversunsaid what do you mean new stuff?

  • @whateversunsaid like this is going to be kid a/amnesiac, where we have a new album the next year?

  • @SuperiFox there are several voices talking about a nearer than we think release of the second part of TKOL, based on some facts, such as 8 songs are way too few for 4 years in studio (and we know other songs they've been working on), the physical edition includes 2 vinyls (if one has TKOF tracks, what about the other?), the quote "if you think this is over then u're wrong" from last track Separator, the download file is named TKOL-1 and so on.. just coincidence? hope not!

  • @whateversunsaid Seriously. After you listen to TKOL more than once, you can see how beautiful it is. Every time Radiohead releases an album, people expect it to sound like their last, but once you get used to the new sound of the album, you see just how amazing it is. But seriously, how can people NOT like Codex and Lotus Flower, even on the first listen?!

  • @HyperMusic1000 yeah, i think people listened to TKOL with too much old albums music in their ears to see how brilliant it is.. just stop thinking about who made what and when and enjoy this beautyful shit! bloom took me a bit to get into, but the others.. i'm not disappointed at all!

  • @HyperMusic1000 I watched the video with Lotus Flower first, then I found the entire album. When I got to Codex, it hit me like a ton of bricks, and the piano....... it's indescribable.

  • @whateversunsaid Yes very much Amnesiac.

  • @flea6115 Yeah, I was devastated when I heard the album version. It's good but I don't think its got anything on this. I just love the riff on this version which the album one lacks... oh well.

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx maybe that's the beauty of radiohead, you can change the sound around a bit but it's still fucking awesome

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx Fuck christ!

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx your wish came true

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx And BLAM!

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx and it is!!

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx wish granted xD

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx

    it is...

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx well Christ must love you because it is :)

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx well your in luck, unfortunately theres no guitar to be found, actually the whole fucking album its hard to find ANY guitar

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx You'll be happy :)

  • @SfinxOfSyrinx There ya go :)

  • Thumbs up if you hope this will make it to the new radiohead album

  • can someone tell me what thom says from 0:07 onwards?

  • puta el weon la raja este culiao

  • I want to borrow his guitar so badly.....enraptured by this like a lot of Radiohead songs <3

  • WTF Thom Yorke and Flea together? Two different genres... but both amazing musicians nonetheless.

  • My happiness Asian Beauties **lushfmlk.info**

  • Really hope to see this song on the new album (when ever that gets done)

It's funny seeing Thom play a Epi Casino, Favorite singer, Favorite guitar :)

  • @McElhany522

    I think it's a Gibson...

  • one of the best songwriters ever

  • In rainbows is sooo good. Give me Thief, Rainbows and Kid A until I die.

  • @JimB667 no OK Computer? For shame.

  • @DarkLuffay Kinda bores me now. Still great tho.

  • where's Flea?
