  • 2:35 work that leg moves!!!

  • 10 different sounds! only problem is 8 of them sound the same! lol

  • I like the Silhouette more than the 25th Anniversary/Reflex. To me, the Silhouette has more of a classic sound, plus to me the guitar itself has more of a classic Fender-like shape (which makes sense, because it was designed by Leo Fender). I don't know why but Music Man seems to push its other models more than the Silhouette.

  • Fucking NICE reverb

  • Actually the more birdseye the stronger the wood.

  • I want to love these guitars BUT they always sound so plastic I mean you hear more pick than tone

  • @SimanGtr75 same as chapman guitars !

  • Im in love of this guitar

  • aaron fink play with this model of guitar

  • @DrMisterAleksa no he doesn't. he plays a music man axis super sport.

  • yeah 4:02 brian adams :D

  • Jeffs colour blind? :O

  • are you guys open to the public?

  • DO MORE WORLD GUITAR VIDEOS PLEASE!!!!

  • not bad for chicken pickin

  • At 2:36: great moment!

  • Song at beginning?

  • @10Plaguesofficial Don't quote me on this, but I THINK that's "Breathe" by Mr. Chappers himself! :)

  • @Seandude223 It's actually Bleed the Light. watch?v=u79uY6C2oRc

  • @dslcharge Oh okay thanks.

  • beautiful instrument ..very do-able

  • I think this tone is in the hands..

    not the instrument itself!!!:)

  • @sikkiboy true. but it would definitely help if you get the right equipments with those hands :)

  • @sikkiboy only up to a certain point.

  • @sikkiboy Go play a strat and les paul through the same amp and on the same settings. If you cant hear a difference, you are deaf or dumb.

  • world guitars is my dream house..gotta get rich

  • I hate you for making me wanting all that great guitars :)

  • u have the best guitars in the world, u're a lucky man . Cheers from italy :)

  • Bryan Adams WIN

  • It seems you changed your opinion of World guitars to Andertons.

  • rob that riff at 2:31 needs to be in a song

    cheers

    Tim Bloomer

  • thank god a review without some metal head making me deaf and annoyed. Good sound.

  • What is he playing at 2:00? sounds so dreamy and carefree. And i think ive heard it before...

  • @Satch2424 It's definitely Fleetwood Mac, I just forgot the track name :p

  • WOOOW!!!!!

  • worldguitars = exellence.. do you still have this 25th anniversary model and do accept shipping to milan italy?

  • I bought one a few months ago.

    Awesome guitar

  • What a shame I can't afford this guitar.

  • i bought this guitar and im just wondering how many were made

  • 5^2 tones

that makes for 25 different tones ;-)

not bad, but pricy, ain't it? haha. i think i'll stick with my ibanez!

  • once you start playing i start thinking about that m & s ad lol

  • Hey Rob, great demo and great playing. I hear one of the best qualities on the Music Man Axis guitars is the neck profile. What do you think of that statement after playing the 25TH Anniversary?

  • This alot better than PRS it has a nice bassy quak sound :)

  • Damn, I have a thing for Axis and Wolfgangs, and damn, that fretboard, and that top are to die for. Infact, that store is very much like paradise hahahaha

  • Wow there's some sustain on that thing even on the clean setting. It's nice to hear someone play clean for a change!

  • idc what anyone says music man makes the absolute best guitars. Gibson can kiss my arse.

  • Rob, I'd sell my soul to the devil, sell my left nut, and get every one of my nose hairs pulled out to play like you...

  • I want those ENGL's in the back...

  • what is the music at the begining?

  • I know this is a stupid question, but I can't remember for the life of me what the song is from 3:56 to 4:13 . Can someone please tell me?

  • @cessnapilot182 It's a song called 'It's only love' which I think is by Brian Adams

  • I love this channel to check out modern guitars that I have very little chance of ever playing. And frettedamericana for classic/vintage/old custom shop guitars I'll never play.

  • @GuillermoSmyser and Phil's crazy behavior.

  • THAT GUITAR WITH ROB PLAYING JUST SCREAMS!

  • now that's alot of PRS's :D

  • the neck is definitely awesome .....

  • dude ive built a shit ton of guitars for myself....while i am no where near a good luthier i am sure that birdseye doesnt make the neck weak at all..........

  • @wagatabuchunga1 i agree, my dad makes guitars and he doesn't see anything wrong with too much birdseye although he mostly uses mahogany and rock maple

  • Goes to show... don't believe every bit of BS you learn from guys in guitar shops...

    Birdseye weakens the neck? lol....

  • One day I'll buy that same EBMM JP6 and have it sent to Australia.

    Mark my words.

  • Lol @ 2:05 - This isnt any guitar this is a musicman 25th anniversary guitar

  • the old guy with the white shirt YOU'RE GAY!

  • too much birdseye makes the neck weak?

    wtf is this guy on?

  • I'm sorry, but that comment about "too much birdseye makes the neck weak" is bunch of nonsense. Go to the Ernie Ball forum and ask all the people with RIDICULOUSLY figured maple necks and you will find that there are no issues to be had compared to maple necks with NO birdseye. Music Man guitars are absoultely phenomenal, for the price and quality and the tones are great. If there are any issues, their Customer Service is the best in the business.

  • This is Alibaba 's cavern ;o)))

  • You know I actually prefer the Eddie Van Halen guitar

  • no shit, your name says it all.

  • why is it??? you ALWAYS make it look so easy to put down those licks.....

  • Sounds great man !

    Rock on

  • I actually Prefer the Fender EVH Wolfgang Guitars over these

Eddie Van Halen really knows his stuff when coming up with a Guitar That Sounds good

  • @evhwolfgangguitar You have no idea what you are talking about kid.

The Fender Wolfgang is a total rip off with branded asian made parts. Musicman guitars are real guitars. The Wolfgang is a one trick pony with questionable build quality and over priced. I am betting you are about 14 years old.

  • how much is that guitar?

  • $2,275 - $2,520 depending on what you get.

  • stronzo

  • 1:28 his button fly is open lol

    Great guitar!

  • @marmelaki You can tell alot about a person from their youtube comments ;) x

  • any1 know how to actualy create a flame top? I understand its a seperate piece of wood, usualy maple but what is the process used to give the finish?

  • @schecterman123 Flame top wood, comes from curly maple. The wood already has this look to it, on say a Gibson Les Paul, they glue the curly maple on top of the mahogany body

  • the wood has that natural striped grain. you just finish it with a transparent dye or clear coat

  • Perfect.

  • 2:10

    MARKS AND SPENCERS!

  • Very nice looking Guitar Collection !

    ROCK ON

  • Love these guitars

    Great post !

  • @ErnieBallStingRay5 I'd Fuck a Music Man If i Had one. ='D

  • Looks alot like the Ernie Ball Music MAn AXis Guitars

  • Question is this guitar well balanced in weight?

Which means is it neck heavy?, i know lots of 7 lbs guitar suffer from this problem, has anyone tried it at standing position?

  • ive not tryed the 25th anniversary but the Axis its based on is well balanced so im presuming as long as the strap buttons are in the same place it will be the same delio

  • I wish there would be another good guitar shop in Montreal except for Steves, 'cause they barely have anything over 7000$

  • Italmelodie maybe.

  • Yah they are pretty good too. Are you also Canadian :)?

  • Yup live in Montreal. =)

  • linda

  • agreed

  • how much does it cost?

  • learn english you french fuck!

  • false

  • flaming epic fail

  • this is the best guitar i have ever played, hands down..

i love the matchless as well

  • ditto!

  • Superb, amazing guitar AND amp ;o)

  • hey rob, what was that you were playing at 2:14 to 2:32 ? it sounds great and slightly familiar

  • Nice one mate

  • Yeh he's trying to strum through in a few parts and can't do it for reason, still, what a guitar and amp setup.

  • he picks to hard haha

  • Wrong. The pick's attack can be used in different ways to affect the dynamics of a song. No such thing as too hard unless you're breaking the strings all the time.

  • wow i didnt say its wrong..

  • he does pick hard, very noticable on the clean stuff, the string over-vibrate till their out of tune ;-)

  • I played this guitar at GC the other day and just played heavy riffs and fell in love with it. Finally a Music Man that really called out to me after having tried the Luke and the Silhouette. This guitar just let me fly on any sort of heavy riff. Never thought I'd say this and I heard someone in a forum say it, this guitar has perfect action as is.

  • The guy sounds like Nigel Tufnel of Spinal Tap...

  • i had never heard of matchless amps before watching this video and they are phenominal, just absolutely wonderful

  • flying low 1:30

  • i really like that Matchless...

  • Nice guitar man, wow

  • Please do some demo on those Engl's back there!

  • im in a french cyber cafe watching this they think im weird

  • you are

    as we all are

  • What is the riff being played at 3:59? I know it but can't get the name of the song....it's doing my head in

  • Brian Adams... "It's only Love"

  • Thanks mate, my head wont explode now.

  • Tina Turner and Brian Adams - its only love

  • I love the sound of the solo from 2:30 to 2:50. Could you post tabs or do a lesson with some of those riffs in it?

  • the music man is incredible but i really dislike the gain sound on that amp, i mean during the solo it was very hendrixy but it looks like thats the only distortion you can get out of a small matchless. have you ever tried a diezel head rob?

  • I think thats just the way rob likes his tones lol, Im certain you can get much more out of Matchless amps :D

  • luv u rob : ) i like ur videos i checked all of them :)

    Monkey lord 4 life

  • Cheers mate! ;-)

  • When I die... If I get there. This shop is what I want heaven to look like.

  • Amen. I want guitars to be in heaven, along with every other instrument :P. Hopefully, when I die and if I make it to heaven, I'll see my axes there too :P.

  • Hey rob, why not do a demo of a vigier guitar? I know these guys stock them, and I'd say that they're the best guitars in production nowadays! They only make about 200 or so a year, by a team of (i think) 7 luthiers, so they are all essentially handmade, yet cost as much as a decent fender or gibson. Go on, let your subscribers know about this company!

  • Hi mate, if you search "Rob Chappers Vigier" You will see that I demonstrated a Vigier months ago at World Guitars. I will definitely be playing one there next month :-)

  • Ah, now I feel like a spacer for missing it :) Thanks for that!

  • Music Man makes some of the best guitars around... first time I've heard the 25th though.

  • Probably one of the best Guitar Stores in the world i might say.

  • I would have to agree, I have personally purchased three guitars from them now ;-)

  • excellent vid chappers !!!!

  • Thanks mate ;-)

  • peter green is awesome

  • Hi guys, could everyone who is emailing about spec & prices please refer to the World Guitars website! Cheers

    Chappers

  • You have become a World Guitars rep haha! Congrats on the new job!

  • Ha ha not a rep... I am the World Guitars Clinician ;-)

  • Damn im jealous!! The music stores around here suck. I would love to find a music store like that, where you can kick back and play on top gear.

    Beautiful guitar!!!

  • nicee! guitarguitar is a good uk branch, newcastle, glasgow and london! its awesome! (newcastle)

  • Real nice stuff :)

Btw, Rob, what video camera and video editing software do you use? Any others you would recommend, too?

  • If I was rich I'd wanna get the Music Man Axis Sport guitar with EMG 85 and 2 SA's. I THINK that's the name of it, all I know is it plays like butter

  • amazing clean tone

  • this is not just any music man...

this is a 25th anniversary mm.

    M&S.

  • ha!

  • I personally think the best guitar shoppe in the United States, California at least... is Guitar Center... :dodgy:

  • my friend has a music man axis usa, i love the necks on those things xD

  • It's all in the fingers!

  • They seem to be amazing guitars.

  • BLAST! Why couldn't the Petrucci at the end have a piezo on!!! But mmmmmm nice Axis alike!

  • I love that matchless, just a supreme sounding amp, I could be tempted.......

  • nice vid Rob! Lets us se you play a musicman petrucci or a luke. would be great :)

  • i spy with my little eye...

    an ENGL head!

  • yeah! I'd love to hear rob playing through an engl amp...

  • it would have been nice to hear different pick up settings - and to see before which you have chosen. it really is a beautiful guitar - something to take in your bed every night :-)

  • So nice to hear Chappers playing clean!

  • Also...i forgot to ask...what's the song you play at 2:07? I've heard it somewhere before and i can't think where (maybe on an advert?)

  • albatross by fleetwood mac?

  • Albatross - Fleetwood Mac, it was on a marks and Spencer advert... think 'this is not just chocolate mouse...' :P

  • i Think its Samba Pa' Ti by Carlos Santana man! An amazing song!!

  • That guitar is stunning. Fantastic sounds coming from it. And the amp...well...fucking hell what an amp! :)

  • They forgot to mention that this has a chambered out basswood body

But nice playin' and a nice amp..

  • Would never have guessed... a basswood body? That surprises me... I expected something more 'off-a-higher-shelf' wood, like mahogany or swamp ash... but in this case, this axe is somewhat cheaper, isn't it?

  • Hey SomthinWild,

I don't think it's a cheap axe.. There's Lots of grate guitars and basses (I'm a bass player my self) where the body are made of Basswod. the Bongo bass for instance got bodies made form basswood, and thats an high end bass.

And if they think that thats the wood that suites the instrument the best

One other thing is how the instrument sounds and feels when you play it thats the most important thing I think.

  • Hey mate, I googled it, and you are right, they sell it for over 2,5k... which is still a no-go for me, because I owned a lot of basswood guitars and they just didn't sound right to my ears. Just as this one in the video... too much mids and high-mids and the basses are, despite its name, almost non-existent... I'm sure, a bunch of poeple might find this is a good axe, but other companies sell much better sounding guitars for the same price. Well... a matter of taste I think.

  • Hey dude, For that price I agree with you, other companies make some grate guitars in the same price point with better woods. Im a spector enthusiast my self they makes some grate gear for same price as the musicman..

  • Okay, normally I just watch a guitar vid and think, 'oh, that was good playing'. It's never the tone of the guitar that gets me. But that tone... Wow. I'm blown away. Did Rob (or the other guy) mention what type of wood the back is made of? I know he said it was a AAA flame maple top...

  • Did you not watch yesterday's vid?!

I was absolutely blown away by that sound.

  • I did, but this MusicMan... Wow. And the Matchless amp is also amazing. AMAZING!! :)
