They sang this song at the Baccalaureate Mass before commencement at my university. I was pleasantly surprised to hear a predominantly Protestant song in the mass. But the one they sang has verses in addition to this chorus. Does anyone know if Rich wrote two versions of this!

I am sorry as this the first version to come out was written by Beaker. "sometimes step by step" was rewritten by Rich. I remember Rich teaching us this song in concert

I had the blessing of seeing Rich in concert 6 months before he died. He really was the most down to earth person and so humble. He had so much talent and used it for God's glory. He is still my favourite Christian artist to this day.

I miss him too. Rich, you must be making wonderful music in heaven.

Thank you. I actually ment that Rich Mullins was the singer.

Mullins died in a car accident in 1997. I heard that he was thrown from the vehicle.

Another vehicle (tractor - trailer) tried to avoid the wreck by swerving and accidently hit Rich Mullins.

We miss you so much Rich.
