My favourite OMD song, the 12" version of this song. Not sure why this would have less lyrics on this version but i would think if year hear the 12" you will hear them all.
Right on the button scouse21, the street to street album was a compilation featuring Liverpool bands of the time, tear drops, echos etc. Julia Kneale wrote the lyrics mccluskey and humphries the music and was originally by the ID one of the early bands andy and paul were in before OMD..
No way is this competent enough version in any way the equal of that fantastic, fulsome and deliciously dementedly sung original which is my fave song on their 1st album-terrible it wasn't a single-just like the 2 openers on 'A&M' album!
The images follow the lyrics! Nice work, thank you for posting! Yes it is not a bad version, the song is too good anyways but I think it is so much more passionate at the original and generally the weir brothers was a wrong move in my opinion, changed the sound of the band and alienated many fans. By 85 that Peter Saville was also gone,OMD lost a lot stylistic as well, bad 80's haircuts and tacky make-up was far from their amazing image and style that established them years 80 to 83.

This song was taken from another album (Street To Street) and was written by Andy's girlfriend Julia Kneale.
