These episodes are amazing! Great writing and great storytelling! I just saw the Green Lantern movie and I tell you the people who made that crap should sit down and watch these episodes maybe some day they can make a real superhero movie. I used to love this too! I bought the dvd's. Has anyone else ever noticed the several mistakes though? For example, Green Lantern would be missing or help captive, then the next scene would show the Hall of Justice and Green Lantern would be standing right there with them!! Or the wrong voice would come out of one of them..ha ha!!! Black Vulcan was on the Toy Man's planet, so the superfriends left to go find him. You see the bat copter take off, followed by Superman, then Black Vulcan!!

@ReturnofLatinPupE No, you are not thinking of the correct episode. Wonder Woman couldn't have departed to go search because she and Hawkman were also on the toy planet. Even in the episode "Secret Origin of the Superfriends", Green Lantern was one of the 3 that were eliminated...yet later, after they return they fly to the Hall of Doom to rescue the remainging superfriends, you see Green Lantern standing in the holding cell with the others. There are several humorous and obvious mistakes.

I remember parts of this episode. When the Road Warriors went to the WWF & changed their name to Legion Of Doom, I knew that LOD was familiar from somewhere.

Has anybody else read Alex Ross' "Justice"? This is where that graphic novel was inspired from. Ofcourse in "Justice" the Superfriends were called The JLA & some members are changed. I think all the members of LOD here are in "Justice".

When I was a kid growing up in indy, I counldnt wait to get up early on saturdays at 7 just to catch the greatest the greatest cartoon series THE SUPERFRIENDS!!! This show ruled my life till it went off the air, one very sad day.This show was magical! After every episode I would tie on my cape and re-enact that weeks episode all day. Im 38 now and some of my fondest childhood memories are of that show.Guess we didnt realize how good we had it back then. Seems like every other word is a curse.

@ULTRADREW1 This was 1 of my favorites too. I also love, even though it was a bit b4 my time, the Marvel Comics, Fantastic 4, The Hulk, & Spiderman, from 1966. Then there is Thundarr the Barbarian, & of course, GI Joe. Have you ever seen a cartoon, I am trying to remember, I think it was a family, there was a friendly rhino/triceratops dinosaur looking creature that shot stuff from it's horn (I think sometimes the kids rode on it?), a "blob"/gumby looking creature, etc? Sound familiar?

When Hanna-Barbera was making this cartoon, they wanted The Joker to be part of the LOD. But they didn't secure the rights to the character, because The Joker was on Filmation's "The New Adventures of Batman". The Joker did appear on an episode of "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians."
