When the warts are out, yes you can pass it on to your partner. HPV is a virus that you will have for the rest of your life. Nothing will happen to you as long as you do your annual pap smear. You doctor may request a procedure called colposcopy which is a lot like a pap smear just to make sure that there is no cervical cancer. Just make sure that you do not have sex while you are removing the warts. good luck.

nope you genius. i found out that i have hpv 2 years ago because i had an HPV DNA test. but since then i had over 4 pap test`s and it never came back abnormal. that only happens when the virus already affected your cells. you just don`t know what you`re talking about..

yes, it can. you're pap test comes back abnormal, so they screen it for HPV. that is how i found out that i had it.
