I love how this movie showed the view of a mentally ill person. Other horror films I can think of that show this is The Shining, and Rob Zombie's Halloween. Movies are deeper and more meaningful when they are shown from this perspective.

"May" was such a sad movie on many levels. I understand it was marketed as a horror genre pic, but with the level of loneliness, isolation, and awkwardness she felt, May was a sympathetic character at the heart of it.

Its A Film About Love And Sadness and desire. Ever since may was little she was an out cast. her world is awakened when she meets adam(js's character) he payed atention to her. can u blame her ? i agree with the story. if u cant have friends make them. i would do what she did. she's sad. watch the movie again and pay attention. its really sad and romantic. my wife and i love what lucky mckee has done. all his movies with angie is great.

What I love about May is that she's so sympathetic, yet if you really think about it, if someone you barely knew acted like that, you have to admit you'd be a bit put off.

When I first saw it, I didn't know the Breeders or Pixies, and watching it recently, I was so happy I knew her voice! Not on here but great too is Kelley Deal 6000's "When He Calls Me Kitten" from a scene I wish I could but can't remember
