I think that Lotus new team will be a failure, but is goof that the new propietaries of Lotus Cars have a F1 team, it's good marketing strategy but is dangerous because if they fail, damage the company name in the market and the historic Lotus in F1.
Yeah its a big gamble. If the F1 team is successful then all is well and its a big with for Lotus Cars. But if they suck then you're really damaging the Lotus name.
It's only the name Lotus that will return, it has nothing to do with Lotus just some rich Malaysian figures with to much time and money. I think it will not last long.
The only thing going for Lotus in the 90s was the active suspension they developed in the 80s before anyone else. Herbert was on for a good result at Monza with the updated mugen engine until Irvine decided to wipe him out.
