FOLKS, QUESTION:

I write children's books and i've converted all my picture books to iBooks, I am wondering in all honesty - your own personal opinion, do you feel kids are truly reading books on iPads? (Kindles, Nooks)

If not now - do you really feel kids, schools, parents, will convert to e-readers? I've a ten yr old and it's a wee bit uncomfortable to hand her a $800 iPad, but I'm wondering if other people feel this way? Would love to hear everyone's reflections.

@youaccoount When I put a PDF on and used iBooks it didn't work too well. You can't choose text or text size. If you can I highly recommend using EPUB format. That allows you to change text, text size and background colour and it displays the books properly.

Reading on the ipad is awesome, I love the free books you get its really made reading easer for me as I didn't want to lug a book around with me all day. And having it on an ipad that i get free isn't bad ether.

i love reading ebooks on my new ipad. and i just signed up for mypad, a new ebook subscription site. you pay only once though, and then u can dl as many ebooks as u want forever. already saved like $100 in ebooks, now if i can only find the time to read them all. lol. if anyone else is interested the website is:

@98aoc electronic book/read. it's the new, digital way of reading books. The two most popular devices for eBooks are the Kindle (a simple device with a B&W display, no other functions than reading eBooks, costs 259usd) and then there´s the iPad (costs alot more, 449 up to 829usd, but it can do virtually anything in a really enjoyable and convenient manner).
