@borderite88 And the beginning sequence is from Star Trek 2. Also footage from battle beyond the stars is in the game as well. 3 science fiction movies were used.
I really wish they would allow more than Dragon's Lair and Space Ace to be on todays systems (this game and cliffhanger are the wish they would make them list)
@borderite88 That's right, but the opening sequence was taken from the "Wrath of Khan." It includes part of the Genesis Project summary and a shot of the Enterprise going to warp. Both Sega and Paramount have acknowledged the footage was in there, but thanks to copyright law, this game will most likely never see the light of day on any gaming system.
hahahahaaaaaa ! just reading some of the comments here ! I feel a bit better.......because i used to get..........CREAMMMMMED...... trying to not only figure this game out ?!.............but to just play it for its aiming and fire technique was dearly impossible !............."DAMN IT ! WHERE THE HELL IS ASTEROIDS OR MISSILE COMMAND ?" i used to say after about 15 seconds of quarter(S), deposit on this astron belt whippin the shit outta me ! lol............thanks for the post !
@2PeteShakur It'll never happen. First the game's too old for most to remember, and second, they attempted it before and the only way they could do it was if they removed all of the "Wrath of Khan" footage they used. And yes, that is footage from the "Wrath of Khan" (as in "Star Trek") in there. In fact, one of the big boss ships is the USS Reliant turned upside down! Paramount refused to let them use the footage, and Sega wouldn't do it without it.
Lost in space! Lol!

Ditto for me. I used to watch the attract mode of this game more than I played. I lasted about 12 seconds.
