  • this was wwe's last good year

  • 2007 early was good, rumble was good, mania was good. up until benoits death then wrestling began to be dark i just didnt feel comfrontable in watching and i forgot most of what happen from july-dec.

  • i wondered where was Rated RKO v DX, HHH v UMaga and Edge v Orton, but its only a top 15 list so its cool

  • I remember watching #3 and being ticked off that Morrison lost.

  • I was at Wrestlemania 23 too and the main event was so intense i wanted shawn michaels to win so bad but of course john cena won. Still a great match and a great night. Also the batista taker match was surprisingly good too and i thought jeff hardy killed edge when he broke the ladder! wow

  • Looking back at 2007 for WWE, I must say half of that year wasn't that bad. The only thing that hurt WWE that year was injuries: HBK, Taker, Edge, Cena, Mysterio, HHH. Jeff Hardy getting suspended for a month, Mr. Kennedy got hurted & suspended the same year. Batista & Randy Orton were healthy the entire year. Also what truly hurt WWE was the whole saga of what happened to Chris Benoit

  • If only Chris Benoit vs CM Punk at Vengeace that yr would have taken place.easly would of been a 4 star plus match

  • 2007 had to be John Cena's best year wrestling wise

  • I would have put the 4-Way from Backlash and LMS from No Mercy a little higher.

  • Wasn't #1 Match of the year for PWI?

  • @BrianLG100 yes it was

  • @WeAreProWrestling Thought so.

  • i was at wm 23 too at ford field row 66 seat 35 im from flint what city you from?

  • @MrUndertakertheman im from temperance(a few miles from the michigan/ohio border) i was in section 325, row 2, seat 14.

  • @WeAreProWrestling are you near hilsdale? i heard it got alot of snow

  • @MrUndertakertheman no; im in monroe county.

  • @WeAreProWrestling oh thats cool 23 is my favorite wrestlemania cause i was there live is that yours too?

  • @MrUndertakertheman i will always be biased toward wrestlemania 23. it's a highly underrated wrestlemania.

  • @WeAreProWrestling VERY underrated

  • John Cena's strongest year in WWE I felt.. as far as winning big matches and holding the title goes

  • @TheSWFuniverse his only reign longer than a year. btw, would he held the title longer after No Mercy if he didn't get injured? Or would Orton defeat Cena at No Mercy?

  • @BrianRichterWWETV I really don't know.. but what I do know is that Cena was seemingly going all the way into WrestleMania 24 with the way they were booking him that year.. maybe to get knocked off by a heel Orton 1-on-1 that night instead. But.. we'll never know

  • @TheSWFuniverse You could be true. Should have made it Orton vs Cena or second choice Orton vs HHH at WM28 one on one really. HHH winning vacant WWE Title at No Mercy only to loose it in same night was silly. This was part of HHH's infamous Reign or Terror. I didn't see the point of HHH being in the WM main-event yet again. WM28 is like WM20, it looks like HHH didn't want to do a one on one job which is why he needed the help of another guy (triple threat match). Well it smells all very fishy.

  • @ThePacmanClassic I think you meant WrestleMania XXIV, right?

  • @Tubewings Sorry but I don't know what you mean. Please explain in more detail, I'm sorry but I don't know what you mean with WM26 coming into this. I'm sorry.

  • @ThePacmanClassic You said "You could be true. Should have made it Orton vs Cena or second choice Orton vs HHH at WM28 one on one really." and "I didn't see the point of HHH being in the WM main-event yet again. WM28 is like WM20, it looks like HHH didn't want to do a one on one job which is why he needed the help of another guy (triple threat match). " I believe you meant to say WrestleMania XXIV (24) in those cases, right?

  • @ThePacmanClassic I will pardon Triple H for Mania 24's triple threat.. as Cena was back early from injury at the time.. so I felt a triple threat was necessary to still have Cena in the match for PPV buys.. but allow him to work a bit more limited with time between Orton and Triple H

  • @TheSWFuniverse I guess you right with pardoning on that point. I didn't like how in 07 how he didn't put over Umaga really/made Umaga look week/too dominant over Umaga & Royal Rumble 08 with HHH demolishing everyone it that match apart from Cena & other dumb stuff HHH did in 07 after his quad injury.

Well I see HHH, Orton, Cena as maineventers who were & are partially responsible for the lack of WWE creating new stars from in most of 00's decade & creating this current back-log of good talent.

  • @ThePacmanClassic How did he make Umaga look weak?

  • @ab006691 Umaga was dominant in 06 & 07. Then in late 07 Triple H not long after HHH returned him & Carltio had issues in 07 & 08. In late 07 he feuded with Umaga (who was young talent) & made him look week in various different matches. In 08 Umaga got drafted to Smackdown...then on that same night Triple H got drafted to Smackdown with him & there's reports saying Umaga was crying backstage as Umaga knew he wouldn't get a shine-on with Triple H on Smackdown. I don't hate Triple H.

  • @ThePacmanClassic I thought you were talking about Cena.
