  • you owe me 6:11 of my life back.

  • Time to stop being a douche bag whiney bitch! Standardize the engines, trash the computer controls, and show who the real racers are, not just who pumps the most money into technology for the win.

  • whats the song? and by the way, fuck u

  • I'd rather see the FIA ban all the traction control, ABS, power steering, anti stall, KERS, etc etc & put the driver back in control of the car. See if the drivers really can drive or if they're merely steering a computerized bullet...

  • i can see the point. they want race teams to stop spending money on beryllium pistons and exotic brakes that are worth 10% GDP of a small country and cause nut cancer in the people who manufacture them. ok, i get it, its F1 racing not strip mining. the only thing i dont understand is why they tolerate this crap at all.

i would like to see how far the FIA could get trying to regulate a coal mine. people only pay for what they want, if they dont want regulation, then the FIA should step aside.

  • who r the two gay guys in this

  • douchebag

  • show!!!!

  • Kinda Boring.

  • hmm beer

  • pic @ 0.14 is the BMW S70/2 from the McLaren F1. WTF?

  • talk too much

  • Fuck off

  • Just keep on reducing the capacity & let the companys / engineers do what ever they want.

  • If F1 goes with standard engines I quit watching the sport.

  • product placement right there !!!! Vb Yuck mate kick a Vic LOL

    seriously keep up good work

  • Thumbs up if you too you came for the engine on dyno !

And then you saw that ... guys ...

  • BAH! Bring back old 1990 v8 turbo engines from Lotus and Renault... also Mclaren! xD

  • @2011mdprod What? Turbo engines were banned in 1989... And Lotus and mclaren never made engines...

  • I think the standardization is bullshit.

  • FIA can lick my tires

  • F**K THE FIA what are they thinking! we need new teams not that shit F**K THAT!

  • Un par de maricas hablando MIERDA

  • Die totale Scheiße! Fuck, ich bin echt sauer! Stink sauer! Ich hasse Euch, Jungs!

  • bring back the f*ing fuel stops!!

  • nice

  • That is a very important issue nowadays, for sure.

  • Welcome to NASCAR and INDY racing.. It is about selling beer and tailgating parties in the parking lot not racing.. It is going to be a broadcast canned TV event.

  • can i buy the senna helmet in the back of you????????????

  • Video of shit kind of ugly jerks useless pieces of shit

  • хукня!

  • I don't mind the multi-cylinder engines. As long as they are below 12,000 rpm.

    I would prefer L-4 turbos.

  • if the video is going to be of two people talking, then show two people talking in the thumbnail please. whoever decided for the misrepresentation of the video is a total douche bag.

  • BLA BLA BLA IDIOTS

  • sucks

  • this video only two gay?

ooohhh!!! noooo the world its change.

  • V 10

  • Thumbs up if you clicked this video because of the red hot exhaust picture.

  • Bring back the glorious old V12s!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • дебилы сраные)

  • I mean an F1 engine XD

  • I want one of those in my room:P

  • The advancement of everyday road cars come from racing...period. Safety, performance and the like come from racing. Traction control, yaw stability, automatic torque control, anti-lock brakes have all come from development through the highest forms of racing. Spec racing is for those who cannot afford an R&D team. I don't want to hear money is an issue, because it's not. Want to cut costs? Stop paying drivers 30M+ pounds! But I don't think that's the issue. Win on Sunday and sell on Monday is.

  • if FIA wants green technology in F1 and wants F1 to move to V4s , i would suggest FIA relinquish control of F1 and conduct tour de france

  • dannggg those guys are hammered....

  • Every one should use the 1.4 l turbo fire engine.

  • i for one am looking forward to the new turbo era

  • Два долбоеба!!!

  • BAZZINGA!!!!!!

  • IT sucks they should leave a great thing alone! why do this ....just to have the government come in next and say ok you can only use mouse wheels from now on or some battery or some shit tell them to: F/O!!!

  • i reckon should be unlimited anything goes turbos you name it get the most you can out of a engine.

  • lost interest at 1 minute. :(

  • It would be a shame - Might as well go the the whole hog and have the same cars bar the colour - make it one big scalextric race! Have them driverless - with the competitors sat in a cosy armchair cuddled up to a joystick in front of a 3d telly and a can of Krony! C'mon Guys - give 'em some slack!

  • to me the point of F1 is that they build state of the art engines and components that they test on the race track and they eventually use some form of that technology for road cars. If you standardize the engines ferrari, toyota etc. basically just lost a giant part of their research and development dept.

  • those 2 guys remember me off sentuamessage

    lol ^^

  • i can not understand FIA they want to make f1 same like mini cup racing???? it`s alradey bad f11 must be the top in racing to tell you the truth f1 was beter in 70`s 80`s .no groundefect only 2.4l no electronic`s smaler wing`s they even lock shit,we need wider car biger tire`s 3.0l groundefect electronic`s and dont tell me it will bee only big team`s sport we dont need low budget team`s.

  • Ecclestone and his cronies ought to be ashamed of themselves. Formula 1 has always had the effect of trickling technology down to road cars, and not just your "I can buy a house for that kind of money, maybe even a few of them" supercars. What ever happened to the old days when engineers were allowed to fiddle with things? If they wanted to keep things interesting, let the engineers do whatever they want within a budget, and prove any team can afford the mods they make within that budget

  • if the stopped paying the drivers 45 million dollar salary's they might save a bit...what the hell is someone supposed to do with all that dough anyways?

  • @AdangerousRETARD Start an F1 team, I suppose. Anyways, I stopped watching F1 after the 2009 season. I just don't see the "pinnacle" of motor racing anymore, just a boring queue of cars with teams that shouldn't even be in F1 (Lotus, Hispania) coming in dead last and somehow viewing this as an honor despite pissing away millions for the "privelege". F1 is dead.

  • F1 is the TESTING grounds for motors and to run a Speck motor have they looked at the History of F1

  • So will Tickets get price Cut if they want to Control cost you cant teams will spend what they get.

  • This is F1 - not touring cars, Indycars, go -karts or any other mediocre class - F1 - Formula ONE - nothing better - the pinnacle of technology - HANDS OFF!!! The best way to cut costs in F1 is kill Bernie.

  • You guys are the biggest douchebags in the history of the world. Never do this again - never.

  • You guys showed some V10's in the start, are you trying to say that V10's are comming back??

  • These are my engine regulations:

You have 200 liters of fuel.

Thats it. Let the engineers find out what the best concept is to make a powerful, small, fuel efficient, light and driveable.

  • I say : NO ! and: Bring back the V10's ( at least its what i think )

  • in the back the helmet of Ayrton Senna

  • I go to Silverstone to hear the noise of the F1 cars- my kids will love it when they are older. However I remember the scream of the V10, and now we have the drone of the V8 (18,000rpm limited), so what on earth is a straight 4 1.6l going to sound like? A1? This is a shame.

  • No technology race ..

    That s not F1 !

  • F1 cant get much more boring as it is but think that spec racing SHOULD be introduced. At least it would be all down to driver skil and not who has the edge because they have a better car. On another note, what makes two people the governing body. For far too long Ecclestone has imposed himself on this (non sport) and should move on..

  • It's not a great idea to standardize engines within F1. Doing this takes away from the appeal that F1 represents. Manufacturers/Teams competing against one another in engineering, driving, and team management is what racing should be about. IRL has a standard engine for all and I think the series suffers from that, amongst other issues. For F1 to be the pinnacle of motorsports, engineering individuality and team character must not be compromised due to an engine standard.

  • buzik vagytok

  • GP racing is already pretty boring...if they all have to sue the sme engine it will be even more boring...apart from the fact that there will be constant squabbles and protests about sub-par engines and secret tuning...etc..

  • How utterly boring and devoid of content. Poke the guy on the right with a stick to see if he is conscious. I only lasted for 30 seconds... and then skipped ahead 3x to see if there was anything - even one single frame of content. Boneheads. Sadly, I had nothing else to do... or I'd be REALLY upset.

  • 0:15 it's mclaren F1 engine (le mans and road car) not a FOMRULA 1 engine

  • F1 isnt F1 with having things standardized. It just not the kind of thing fans , drivers and Manufactures expect.

  • if they do that it becomes a competition of just driver skill, and a competition based on just who has the best driver wins is shit. they should set the engine cylinders and capacity and may the best TEAM win.

  • kurva anyádat

  • FIA is totally fucking racing of all kinds in the ass!

Who wants to join me in torching their building?

  • What a lame idea....

That would totally kill the whole point of F1 racing....

So what would be the point of a standardized engine ?

The manufacturers would be left out of the game, so why would anyone want to compete, if every team had the same engines ? Bernie is really screwing things up BIG TIME.... How about giving every team a car, and blind-fold the drivers ?

  • at 0:14 you show the mclaren f1 roadcar bmw engine, not a real formula 1 engine.

  • Formula 1 is all about competition - and all aspects of it. Not only who has the best driver, but also who has the best team of craftsmen and engineers. All of that competition dies when you start "leveling the playing field." It stifles imagination and creation; therefore, hindering the productions of the manufacturers' other vehicles. Many production cars these days were designed and built on the ingenuity of their lessons learned in Formula 1.

  • the Engine BMW P83 ...Year 2003 is a best Engine ....19200 rpm whitout failures!!!!

  • I always like the way you cats have a little Senna gear here and there,,,a hat here a shirt here...good stuff

  • SHOOT BERNIE IN THE FACE!!! problem solved

  • It is time for retirement for the two.....english guys.

  • I cant see this ever happenin cause i really cant see a team lik ferrari or renault or indeed any other factory team bein forced to use another manufacturers engine in their car.

  • And this is the exact reason why it didn't happen. With the exception of Williams & Force India, the teams formed FOTA and threatened a breakaway series to stop Mosley & the FIA from imposing rules like standard engines and a 55M euro annual spend. - Max

  • @F1Podcast~ i think what all the fans will be happy with is someone giving Bernie. E a real good kick in the nuts and a good slap around!

    Who agrees?!

  • @marek0086 "Let's all form an orderly queue now gentelmen."

  • @l34052 so what do u say now?

  • The formula is going to be turbocharged V6 engines with 15,000RPM redlines.

I would have preferred L-4's with a turbo and 12,000RPM redlines. Might not sound as exotic as the others, but would have vastly more relevance.

  • @dinicthus Fuck them all! V10 COME BACK PLEEAAAAASEE!!!

  • I'm sure the FIA means Fuck It Up..They tend to do it really well

  • fuck it >>>>>>

  • WTF is wrong with FIA standardized engines do not belong in F1

  • it's bullshit. standard cars have there place, it's not formula 1.

  • fuck it!!!!

  • booooooooooring

  • i wanna see the damn engine blowing up!

  • Bernie is to greedy, the fia seem to bum ferrari so wouldn't surprise me if they get tasked with building the engines, or every1 could end up with chevrolet lumps. let the car giants have their own engines for christ sake or we mite as well watch single make single seaters. imagine what would happen to ferrari road cars if they lost the ability to have a F1 inspired engines? they wouldn't be selling cars on just chassis pedigree. All teams should just break away from bernie and the FIA

  • Its way to much money gone to waste, Think about it. Millions of dollars a year for each team

  • 9716, its not a waste of money it pays some one to do some think some wear with engineering brains and skill, and we need it..

  • FUCK MOTHERFUCKING COCKSUCKERS FIA!!! They didn't care about safety when drivers started complaining, it took a lot of people dying for them to start putting tyres on track walls or just cutting of trees inside track... fuck them! F1 engines are piecies of art. They should create limitations to make the engine more "green" but even that must be progressive, that way we will all benefit from F1 engeneering. Down FIA. Drivers should have a word on this as weel as mechanics, they are the ones.

  • If FIA wants a standardized engine, then we might as will be building and racing taxi cabs... F1 is the echelon of motor sports... Why can't we just let it be? Let the beast out of the cage and hear it ROAR! ! ! ! ! ! . . . .

  • The FIA seems to consistently interfere with the teams in Formula I to the detriment of the sport. Lots of people said they thought is was boring when Ferrari and Micheal Schumacher where winning race after race, I thought it was amazing and that I was witnessing motor racing history in the making. It was up to the other teams to raise the bar, to compete. I thought that was what Formula 1 was all about...reaching for the pinnacle of performance, not leveling the playing field.

  • well sed..

  • and what is mosleys last effort of trying to controll everything? all the new teams have the cosworth engine, and all those teams who didn't want cosworth as their engine suplier were dropped from the list! one of the teams has made a lawsuit because they were a perfect team to join but the fia deliberately dropped them off because they didn't want the cosworth engine. what i think would have been the best thing for f1, would have been that the teams would have started their own series!

  • but supercar engines have develpoed through formula 1 i bet you the enzo wouldent have as much power if they standerdise engines

  • if they did at least bring back v10 - v12 with 1,500hp-2000hp cause there planning to bring back turbo in 2011

  • A bit of sado-masochistic sex with five prostitutes never hurt any Nazi...

  • I want V10's. They sounded awesome.

  • mosley schould get sacked he is making F1 look bad that gready old bastard !

  • I honestly think that if they do this, it will go down in history as the worst decision ever made in Formula 1 history. They need to stop looking at how much money they can make and just let Formula 1 be the best it can be. Spec racing has it's place in the world, and it should STAY in that place and OUT of Formula 1. If I wanted to see NASCAR I'd turn on ESPN.

Isn't ANYTHING sacred anymore? It's like nothing is safe from molestation by asshats with tons of money. Unbelievable!!

  • I couldn't agree with you more about spec racing staying out of F1. It'll be a sad day for our sport if this shit is introduced. - Max

  • @F1Podcast totally agree with this keep formula 1 where it is the top teams are top teams for a reason! because they build better engines!

  • i totaly agree with you guys from the video and i would like to add that f1 is getting less interesting year buy year so camon Max lower the costs of f1 entries and bring the F1 Back as it use to bee....................................................Honda lover.

  • This is tantamount to blasphemy as this totally goes against the spirit of the sport and everything formula 1 sands for. Truly disgusting

  • I honestly can't believe they are doing this, they are pathetic. Growing up I saw Formula 1 as the premier racing league of motor sport, where the best drivers and the fastest cars competed. And every year it was faster and faster, with better looking machines. And it was interesting to see the different designs out of all the teams and how incredibly fast they could go. Hell if thats the way things are going to be, then pretty soon they are gonna be racing in oval tracks.

  • I completely agree with you guys. F1 seems to forget that they only exist because they have a dedicated fan base. If Bernie and Max need to realize that F1 is only the top in the world because the fans make it that way. If they mess around with these dumb rules anymore, people will watch somthing else. I find it amazing that they are so arrogant to think that people will just put up with anything they throw at us, just because it's called Formula 1. ASK THE FANS WHAT WE WANT!

  • Great comments mate, totally agree with you. Without us fans, there ain't no F1 - Max

  • Ferrari running a FORD engine??? HELL NAH! F1 will go down to IRL level, it will no longer be considered the highest level of motor racing. OMG what are these people doing to Formula 1! Ferrari you MUST do something about it! If not! Leave F1! that will teach them a lesson!

  • ..one more thing (last I promise) GET RID OF THE REV LIMITER!!!!!

  • ...thankfully though we have teams like Ferrari and Toyota saying they will quit F1 if this happens. That should scare the FIA out of it. I think in all honesty though, it is a smokescreen for something else.

  • FUCKING fired up! I wholeheartedly agree with you two. F1 is as much a technical arms race as it is a series of motor races. It always has been, and always should be. Yes, there will be times when there is a dominant team but that is part of the game. It's part of the formula that makes it Formula 1! Quite simply, a standardised engine would spell the end of F1 in all but name. The FIA should remember and live with the fact that motorsport is expensive and fucking get over it!

  • Welcome to our little part of YouTube mate. Good to have you here and great to have a passionate fan fire up!! These fuckwits couldn't organise a root in a brothel, that's a given. Why stop at F1? How 'bout telling Subaru, Citroen etc in the WRC that they're going to have to run FORD engines!!! They'd fire up too :) - Max

  • Well lets be fair, Mr Mosley probably could organise a root in a brothel but that is about all these days! Great to have found you guys and I'm really enjoying going back through your vids. Very much on the same wavelength with you two on just about everything I've seen so far. Great stuff guys. If you're heading down here (Melb) for the GP in March you should set up an unofficial F1 chat Marquee somewhere on the golf course where we can all rant F1 and drink a few VBs! Podcast live from the GP!

  • "we can all rant F1 and drink a few VBs! Podcast live from the GP!" ... that's pretty much the plan mate!! We really appreciate your support. (Pep)

  • The FIA Super 2000 WRC and IRC cars use spec transmissions. They're also proposing a new World Engine for 2011. It's a 1.6L turbocharged 4 cylinder with a 33 mm restrictor. It will be used in Touring cars and the WRC. The turbo pressure will be limited to 2.5 bar and they're will be an FIA control box to make sure the teams aren't cheating. The WTCC will move over to the world engine in 2011.

  • The WRC will also use the World engine in 2011.

  • Sorry I would not watch F1 if Ferrari do leave

  • imagine the engine they decide on ends up being unreliable, how long would companies like mclaren/ferrari/honda etc how long do you think those companies would like to be associated unreliable engines through no fault of their own. Remember they are planning to run engines longer so this is at least a reasonably likely event, at least initially.

  • ferrari could pull out of f1 because of this dam u fia

  • Let's just rename F1 Formula Ford and be done with it!

  • The easiest way to cut cost is to stop changing the rules every year. R and D is a fortune, v10 to v8 was a huge cost, KERS is costing huge money, the standard ecu is stupid cost cause teams could not start their cars, going to slicks and dumping aero will cost a lot, every rule change cost money because the teams have to find ways to remain competitive, keep the rules the same for like 5 years and the costs will go way down.

  • Totally agree with you, I've been saying this for years!! - Max

  • LOts of way sof saving money. Like burning stupid Shark Fins And Nose bridges. If f1 cars have the same engines, alright ones like Renault and Red Bul And Toyota already have literally the same speed and FINS anyway, so when there is an equal amount of power inthese rubbish cars they will all be the same speed. I have forgotten that v10 engines at 20,000 revs was so high pitched

    BOOO TO A1 GP!!

  • Should not happen. Any real fan recognizes the distinct differences between engines on board. F1 is supposed to be the pinnicle. Yes, cost cutting is necessary but lets get real here. I love hearing onboard engines and the differences between them( Ferrari and Mclaren) sound so different. Please don't do this.

  • What on gods earth are they thinking. How can you have a standard engine in F1, what would be the point, it makes no sence and proves that the top brass dont have a clue what F1 is about, they are so obsessed with money they have forgotton why we watch F1. The top F1 drivers have already driven in lesser series with standard engines in order to make it into F1. They have lost the plot. I cant see it happening mind as the teams will simply walk away and set up their own series or something.

  • Easy Stupid cost cutting!!! Go with a 1.5 V8 TURBO! it will be easier to make and no R&D for lighter con rods that break world championship dreams!! Bring back Turbo!

  • Screw any engine limitations bring back the 1994 Scuderia Ferrari F1 V12....The thing sounded like God talking.

  • "Like God talking" indeed. Couldn't have put it better myself mate.

Speaking of God, did you see in the China post race press conference that apparently God supports McLaren! That's what Lewis said ... LOL I never knew that! (Pep)

  • They're doing these to cut costs right? I say don't fuck with individual components, put a cap on teams budgets say 100 million a year. Then let the teams decide what to spend their on egine, chassis, etc. Maybe bernie and mosley need to put a cap on their viagra budget. Mofos.

  • Yep that is pretty much my argument. Companies around the world are always going to find a way to fiddle amounts, move money etc. and F1 will be no exception. But a PROPER ANNUAL INDENPENDANT AUDIT will fix a lot. Oh and most of these engine companies are listed on stock exchanges anyway - so they are used to Disclosure. Trade secrets, patents are dealt with in the usual way.

And if you cap the budget, the teams will have to play ball. (Pep)

  • I think they need to be going to other way, and opening the engine regs up, but pushing the teams towards environmentally friendly technology, such as hybrid engines. Not KERS, which is looking like a bit of a failure. I think the manufacturers would love this marketing-wise, and it'd be great for the image of the sport.

  • Oops, I meant hydrogen not hybrid.

  • Are Bernie and Max F1 fans anymore?

I think power and money has clouded their judgement.

They're the problem rather than the solution these days it seems. The sport needs to be more affordable but not at the expense of the entire category.

I'm no business man but even I can recognise that as a fatally false economy!

  • You wouldn't think so would you. I find it amazing that these two are hell bent on pissing off the very people (the engine manufacturers and us fans) that make them so much bloody money. I can't figure it out. - Max

  • Enzo must be rolling in his grave.

  • You've hit the nail on the head mate. - Max

  • What a dreadful idea for a top tier racing series, standard engines. If the FIA really wants to save money, just lower the weight requirement of the car, less weight means less extra shit onboard. The teams make the cars under weight anyway and it would be better racing, both combatively and technically.Maybe put a salary cap on the employees aswell, you know, keep it under 20 mil...not to extreme i would imagine. If they had a tire choice again it would be more competition and sponsor availiblity

  • The enigine is a sacred componet of the car, dont thread on it FIA, let the boys race. Remove limits and the teams will save money on their own. And bring back the Canadian Grand Prix and American Grand Prix(Road America or Leguna Seca)

Keep up the good work Guys!!

  • Also bring back the V10 no rev limiter and any gear box the teams wish to run

  • And the engines shouldn't have to last multiply weekend nor the gear box

  • Couldn't agree with you more mate, you make some great points. Wish Bernie would listen to you. I can dream can't I?? - Max

  • Why not just slap a speed limiter in all cars so you can tune and setup the car as much as you like but not go over a certain speed, Then it will deffo be down to the teams great setup and the drivers skills. I dont really understand all this millarky with the engines but afta watching you guys I now know I should find out more and be very annoyed, What the heck are they doing to our beloved F1 racing, I thought it would get better with the stars of today not worse. Good Vid Guys !!!

  • Cheers mate. The problem with a 'speed limiter' is that it won't work. Any team with a decent computer engineer would write code to alter the engine revs and then have the code destroy itself so no trace would be left of it ever existing. - Max

  • No no NO!! It's wrong! Individual teams are the thing of F1. Not standard / shared equipment! And what engine would it be? Ferrari? McClaren? A GM product? *shudder* It can't be an engine any team is using now cos that would give one team a specific advantage. The shared engine idea is insane! This will turn into Indy car in no time. B@st@rds! Nooooooooooooooooo!!

  • I feel your pain Staf! - Max

  • I can understand wanting to standardised some of the componants but the engine? thats a fairly major part of an F1 car to be standardising. Like you guys said thats one big step closer to A1GP, and a big step away from what makes F1 great.

  • if they do that engiene thing it will be like the 2005 season when they could not change tyres and that was very bad like in indianapolis

  • f1 is dying slowly i feel sad because the best f1 years are past us and might never come back forget saving money and the enviroment bring back the v10's v12's turbo's make everyone go ballistic and choose what they want to put on their engine but i guess R.I.P F1 max mosley and bernie are such ignorant pensioners -_-

  • Yes, yes, yes!!!! I know it's not cool to be politically incorrect re: being 'green' and all, but I'm with you buddy! - Max

  • please put max & bernie in a home and bring in some fresh blood to F1.

WTF!!! they have been cutting fan base for many years, now i guess we have to cut teams.... :0 Is F1 going to the way side?????
