I'm getting so pist at all the metallica fanboys saying that this is the biggest metallica concert ever, Nr.1: this was a festival, there was ALOT of people there who were there to see other bands too. which means that metallica themselves didn't atract all those people on their own. Nr 2: The biggest concert ever was on the copacabana beach in rio with rod stewart (who sucks btw). with 3,500,000 people, Queen had 2,000,000 in sydney. this concert had 1,600,000.

This was right after the Soviet Union was put down. This were a hard time for most russians. To see some of the worlds biggest bands were pretty crazy to these people. They had been living in exile for years in the communism regions. The same with Michael Jacksons Dangerous Tour concert in Bucharest. It was like a dream coming true, not only the music but the fact that they were not constrained by the government.

Actually, the biggest rockfestival worldwide is the przystanek woodstock festival in poland, kostryzn nad odra. in 2011, 750.000 people have been there.

I think, that our generation is supposed to be better then Mettalica one time. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc were inspired by early sixties interprets. Next rock generation like AC DC, Iron Maiden and all these metal pioneers were inspired by all bands before. Metallica was inspired by all these bands, so they could easier to decide what will they play. Our generations, thx to internet, got unlimited source of informations. All guitar lessons, wich are possible to see on yt, are to next big plus.
