I agree. I think tangible ways to engage with the community and effect positive civil citizenship are badly needed everywhere in the planet!

I think this kind of vision needs to be taken into schools and applied to different 'causes' i.e. environment, political participation (that I guess are all linked with poverty at the end of the day). We need to make it entrenched in the school curriculum in developed but more imortantly in developing countries.
