hmmm i heard somewhere that if you use tape with origami its not origami anymore and this needs tape

Yup, that is what most "purist" origamists say. This model in my opinion is still origami since it has alot of folds.

if u read it in wikipedia it says origami is the art of making things with paper without using gum or cutting the paper still cutting is sometimes necessary.i believe a little bit of cutting and/or gum, tape is allowed if it turns out to be a good thing.every little helps ;-)
