They've been on hiatus since the Stadium Arcadium tour finished, which is nearly a year ago. The hiatus is nearly over. They are getting together to jam near the end of the year. :)

yea he did join nicely, but still. it would be like me just joining the chili peppers. it wouldn't be right at all. i would be kinda mad at myself for budding into the bands hard work. get my point? and im sure klinghoffer won't stay for any work on the new album. he was just there for the tour.

i think the chilis need to take a few months break then make a new album but go on a shorter tour as they were getting tired near the end of this one!
