Hi. I have a Japanese FZ1 and it has similar restrictions. Yamaha told me its possible to do the same thing using the master (red) key. Could you explain in English exactly what you did? I want to try this on my bike and hopefully set the bike to full power.

Salut klouna78 en fait si, il y a un fil a brancher entre la cosse N°19 du connecteur du CDI et une masse de la moto avant de faire la manip au compteur. voila a+

WTF is going on with European Parliamnt trying for motorcycle restrictions? I dont get it, do they restrict the cars too? Whats the use of doing that? Motorcycles arent the problem. Emissions, sound, power restrictions....little dickheads. We pay so many taxes that at least motorcycles and roads sould be limit-free.

he is a french driver, and in France motorbikes are limited to 106 horses power.

So he was showing how to enable this power limitation to ride full power.

In that case the engine turn from 106hp to 150hp as is it offered in the rest of the world.

I know it because I'm french and ride motorcycle.Our government sucks when it comes to talk about motorbikes power...

Don't worry. Germans made such restriction via the tax (insurance?). Further the EU Parlament is full of bitching old men who are against the biking. Sooner or later whole Europe will have such restrictions. I hope that the Jap bikes will be such easily recoverable...

@farfadetb6 interesting you say that. Mine was restricted according to the instructions in the video posted (which is great btw!) and I live on the IoM. I assume the restricted HP setting is factory default?
