Your comments are very telling. Why didn't you use a real drummer instead of the MPC2000? Instead you chose to put someone out of work just so you could use your electronic device. While electronic instruments are good, they will never replace the real thing. Next time, how about practicing what you preach? I'll bet you think that the quality of MP3 recordings are as good as LP albums too.
I appreciate your comments, I do not appreciate you assuming you know my thoughts and or the equipment I own or choose to use. Your point would make sense if I had a drummer, and fired him so I could use the MPC...lol But I get your point, its almost accurate.
The MPC is NOT a replacement for a drummer, it is a sampler, and is incredibly subpar when compared to a real drummer, MP3's umm how do you even know I own any?. You assume a lot in your comment
The video was meant to talk about machines invented to do a job BETTER than humans, and when it comes to live drums, there is not a machine that exists that can do this!! MP3 are not a BETTER alternative to classic analog recording, so why would you assume that I would think so.
Nothing I have replaces the real thing, so what is your point??
So I am supposed to hire a drummer and a complete recording team just to learn how to play the guitar as an amateur??????? Thanks for watching....... lmao
Actually, I don't think you got my point. The railroad company brought in a steam hammer because it was less expensive than human labor to do the same task. The automated answering system is in operation at the pizza parlor because it is less expensive than hiring humans to do the same work. The reason you used a MPC was because it was cheaper and faster for you than to hire a session drummer.
At least when you get caught not practicing what you preach, try to admit it a little bit.
Nothing I use is BETTER than the real thing, so I dont see how it puts anyone out of work. The steam engine was BETTER than a human, The automated pizza system was better than the "I dont really want to be here" kids that work at my local Dominoes and never get the "extra sauce" part of my order correct. I was upset because the pizza system was only better than some kids, there are other who would have done the job with the professional touch necessary for an establishment that serves food.
I'm not criticizing your choice to use an electric drum system. It was good that you were trying to save money. That's what we are supposed to do, be efficient with our resources. But don't criticize the railroad or the pizza parlor for trying to be efficient with their resources when you do the very same thing.
P.S. I am an accountant and I will never be replaced by a computer because people pay me to think and use my expertice where they have none. No computer can do that.
I think you are confusing advancements in technology with advancements designed to replace human error and humans altogether. Its a fine line in use, and on that note we just disagree. You are determined to force me into submission, or a charitable donation to some ex-drummer, because I used an MPC. EMAIL challenges the post offices of the world, Usin that same EMAIL to tell your wife to pick up some milk before she gets home from work, replaces which postal employee? we just disagree.
I saw all of this just yesterday...

Hee hee!
The original John Henry lyrics were about the voracious sexuality of an African American man
But naturally, the Euro-Calvinists in America had to censor it!
