well, for what it's worth. we all had fun doing it, thats all that matters, not like we were a professional choral group anyways ... we had fun, dedication, and we did pretty well for an amateur choral group... =P
man if you want to see a real video of this song just typed SUNDAY NIGHT SINGERS FOLK you will see this song on minute 3 and 37 seconds..after that you can post your comment about my choir i do the tenor solo ... we took second in the choir of the world last year at Llangollean wales Europe..
interpretation is really bad.. too slow.. the voices dont blend.. you hear people's voices sticking out.. parts were flat.. the soloists were flat.. the sopranos struggled on the high notes.. and why is it staccato in the end?? i dont like it..
A faster tempo is always a good thing for this song. I hate to say it, but this was below average rendition of Daniel. Soloists were way of and cracking and the chior is flat most of the time. i do commend your guts to try and pull it off... it is a hard song to sing...
Not bad, although I agree with beckman that the song should be done faster. Also in general, I prefer the more choral sound rather than the more "pop" style with a slight scoop. But I do like how you guys didn't put the optional fermata on "To lock the lion's jaws". My director added it, and I hated it.
way too slow

Sorry, your bass soloist just walked out and I got PISSED. I would slap the fire out of anybody in any of my choirs for singing like that..

I hate when subpar choirs take a great song like this and just totally eff it up. Your conductor should be shot in the face.
tenorthechad 3 years ago
Ok first of all you guys need to speed the tempo up and have better diction because you guys are going flat.
sensesfail0511 3 years ago
the tempo made the high notes sound harsh.

This song definitely does not have to have a swing to it.. ehh. Good job, but it could've been a LOT better.

Not the best I've heard it sung .... :( But that could be the video quality ..

Why do people feel the need to always swing spirituals? It really irks my nerves.

this sounded really good at the winter concert & tuesday's spring concert. it doesn't sound good on video cause it fractures the quality.

Yall need a lot of pratice because a children's choir sound better than that get it together.

It is a nice rendition, but it the song gets more feeling when you here it at a faster pace. Once you hear it really gets to you.
beckman33 4 years ago
nice rendition, I'm doing it in choir now, at a slightly faster pace.
