This episode reminds me a little of the last unicorn movie. I mean all the unicorns disappear except one but Buttons doesn't last long she disappeared too.

Anyways I love My little pony G1 because it did have some scary themes in some episodes but kept it for kids.

Twinkle Eyed Ponies. They're one of the many "gimmick" ponies Hasbro produced in the toyline, so several ponies in the cartoon adaptation have twinkle eyes.

@AyraiyA there called: Twinkle eyed ponies... the G3 ones had gemstone cutie marks.. but hey they have gem eye's.. cause they look cool... i don't know but.. well it's a girl thing sorry. ^^

If you watch more, the personalities come out a little better. In particular I find Wind Whistler and Gusty to be particularly likeable! :)

@Tofukostaja i always enjoyed the megan and molly b/c it gave someone to relate to…made the ponies feel a little closer to home and less fantasy…like they might really exist…esp. when you see wind whistler with megan's real horse tj…i always thought that was neat

@MsOhayoOhio Very interesting opinion. I've been a brony since G1 but I still think that the humans make the show more uncomfortable to watch. Maybe because magical ponies really don't exist. What I like about G4 is their own pony culture which the other ones lacked somehow.

There are some things I do and don't like about G1. But the one thing that I HATE is the way the baby ponies talk. That, and their unoriginal names.
