very solemn and good voice. This is the song where the monstrance is being carried by the priest dress in gold robes and clappers are sounded with the sweet smell of the incense during Holy Thursday. Truly a great Roman Catholic Tradition.

Sadly our great church downplays its best kept secrets, especially the Mass and the Blessed Sacrament, about neither of which one hears any sermons. It is these two blessings that set us apart from the so many good and holy non Catholic Christians. Only the Orthodox and other ancient churches share these blessings with us.

In my church on Corpus Christi last summer there were four hymns sung - none of them referred to the Blessed Sacrament!

WOW!!! he reminds me of the Deacon at my parish he has a similar voice for gregorian chants....at benediction when the Deacon sings these chant its amasing.....:)

Very beautiful! And the accoustics give it an other-worldly feel! Has anyone ever heard Ensemble Organum's rendering of Tantum Ergo with recourse to Corsican plain chant? Though quite different from the Gregorian chant version, it is also very powerful!

@tuleesh Grazie, quello che mi dici, era quello che speravo di fare quando ho registrato, credo che questo Canto Gregoriano sia un patrimonio dell'umanità e come tale va tenuto vivo e salvaguardato, anche se attualmente la Chiesa lo ha quasi totalmente abbandonato, la gente , i fedeli lo vogliono ancora, e sono certo tornerà ancora praticato perchè una simile bellezza non si può dimenticare, ciao

This glorious presentation of a truly great Christian hymn fills me with delight lessened by sadness. It used to be sung when I was young (I am 71) in Catholic churches several times each week during Benediction. In the last 35 years I have been present at traditional Benediction just 3 times. To me Giovanni Vanini is an ever present blessing...

I absolutely love being a Catholic :) the mass itself is such a powerful prayer uniting us to the Father. The Eucharist beholds so much of the power and greatness and overall love of Jesus Christ. Going to mass every week is just so incredible it leaves me with no words. i can say i am young (17) and i am so thankful i get to experience this ever present love of Christ :)
