I WANT THIS SONG ON MP3 NOW!!!!!!!!! I prefer his solo version as opposed to the full men's choir versions I always hear @_@ This one sounds ... more peaceful, I guess?
@herafan5 Do you have the the Firefox browser with the (youtube to mp3) Add-on installed? If not, install Firefox, to Tools, Add-ons and type in youtube to mp3 in the add-on search box, and install. When you reboot Firefox or start it up, a line of text in blue font will appear below all videos. Asking you if you wish to convert to mp3. Enjoy, Peace....+
very solemn and good voice. This is the song where the monstrance is being carried by the priest dress in gold robes and clappers are sounded with the sweet smell of the incense during Holy Thursday. Truly a great Roman Catholic Tradition.
God Bless you Father for showing us, the young people what beautiful treasure has the Catholic Church. Open the locks of Tradition because Tradition of the Holy Fathers and our Saints is the essence of Catholic Faith. Without it, we are like protestants. The treasure of our history, the passion of our Saints makes the Catholic Church the true one. We all go to Heaven, Christians from all confessions, but it is real blessed to be a good Catholic. Ressurect the TRADITION, like the Orthodox Church
Sadly our great church downplays its best kept secrets, especially the Mass and the Blessed Sacrament, about neither of which one hears any sermons. It is these two blessings that set us apart from the so many good and holy non Catholic Christians. Only the Orthodox and other ancient churches share these blessings with us.
In my church on Corpus Christi last summer there were four hymns sung - none of them referred to the Blessed Sacrament!

oh how i love being Catholic :D! the Mass, the Eucharist all the sacraments :D all the graces flowing freely from the Father :) Thank you Jesus for loving us so much! <3<3<3<3<3
WOW!!! he reminds me of the Deacon at my parish he has a similar voice for gregorian chants....at benediction when the Deacon sings these chant its amasing.....:)
Very beautiful! And the accoustics give it an other-worldly feel! Has anyone ever heard Ensemble Organum's rendering of Tantum Ergo with recourse to Corsican plain chant? Though quite different from the Gregorian chant version, it is also very powerful!
Mr. Vianini also sings "Veni creator Spiritus, Inno gregoriano," the acoustics are incredible. These recordings are great to hear during a spiritual retreat at home or in a group. They put one in a spiritual mindset.
Glory be to God forever. Thank you sir for singing this wonderful Benediction hymn. May God continue to bless His children the world over. Great voice of inspiration. Cheers, Vianini.
Bravo! Saint Thomas of Aguinas is happy to hear this sung today. Lovely church music that should be brought back with the rest of the wonderful music of pre Vatican Council II.
Amen
This glorious presentation of a truly great Christian hymn fills me with delight lessened by sadness. It used to be sung when I was young (I am 71) in Catholic churches several times each week during Benediction. In the last 35 years I have been present at traditional Benediction just 3 times. To me Giovanni Vanini is an ever present blessing...
Yes, it is delightful. I sang it many a time in my youth. I can still sing the whole hymn by heart in Latin. Of course I am a bit older then you, muisire.
@muisire it is indeed a great Blessing :) I pray that you may experience this grace of God more in the next coming years. I absolutely love being a Catholic :) the mass itself is such a powerful prayer uniting us to the Father. The Eucharist beholds so much of the power and greatness and overall love of Jesus Christ. Going to mass every week is just so incredible it leaves me with no words. i can say i am young (17) and i am so thankful i get to experience this ever present love of Christ :)
